Property Field Appraiser in Haciendas del Canada, Nuevo León at Jobgether

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Property Field Appraiser based in Canada.

This role supports property appraisal and investigative activities throughout the claims resolution process.
You will assess property damage, review repair estimates, and help ensure costs and work remain aligned with established standards.
The position combines field expertise, construction knowledge, investigation, and analytical decision-making.
You will work closely with contractors, providing guidance on complex restoration and repair matters.
The role also offers opportunities to improve processes, tools, and methods across property claims operations.
You will contribute to efficient, high-quality claim outcomes while working primarily remotely.
Travel across the Kingston, Ottawa, and surrounding areas is required, along with occasional emergency support for restoration partners.

• Assess the extent of property damage and review or validate estimates provided by suppliers, ensuring compliance with established quality and cost-control standards.
• Investigate the circumstances surrounding incidents and gather relevant information to support accurate claim resolution.
• Contribute to action plans designed to address identified issues in accordance with established guidelines and industry practices.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, methodologies, tools, and overall operational efficiency.
• Provide coaching and technical guidance to a network of preferred contractors.
• Provide expert opinions and recommendations on complex construction and restoration issues.
• Identify alternative repair approaches and more efficient or appropriate restoration methods.
• Provide emergency guidance and instructions to restoration partners when required.
• Monitor adherence to estimation guidelines and cost-control requirements.

• Bachelor's degree in a related field; equivalent combinations of relevant education and professional experience may also be considered.
• At least 3 years of relevant professional experience in property appraisal, construction, restoration, insurance claims, or a closely related field.
• Intermediate proficiency with Xactimate or comparable property estimating software.
• Working knowledge of mold and/or asbestos remediation practices.
• Working knowledge of fire, smoke, and odor damage remediation.
• Solid knowledge of residential construction and building structures.
• Knowledge of structural building drying and cleaning techniques.
• Strong analytical, investigative, and decision-making abilities, with the capacity to assess complex situations and recommend practical solutions.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills, particularly when working with contractors and other stakeholders.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel throughout the Kingston, Ottawa, and surrounding areas.
• Ability to work independently in a primarily remote environment while remaining responsive to operational and emergency requirements.
