This role is a strategic leadership position responsible for defining and driving the long-term vision of a Data Science organization, ensuring alignment between business objectives, product roadmap, and advanced analytics capabilities. You will lead the structuring and scaling of high-performing teams, fostering technical excellence and developing future leaders within the data function. The position plays a key role in transforming data science and machine learning initiatives into scalable, production-ready solutions that generate measurable business impact. You will act as a critical bridge between executive leadership and technical teams, influencing strategic decisions across product, technology, and analytics. The environment is highly dynamic and innovation-driven, requiring strong leadership, technical depth, and business acumen. This is a high-impact role where you will directly shape the maturity and competitive advantage of the organization through data.
- Define the long-term vision and strategy for the Data Science function, ensuring alignment with business and product goals.
- Structure and scale the data science team, including role definition, career levels, and squad allocation.
- Ensure methodological governance and technical excellence across all data science and machine learning deliveries.
- Act as a strategic bridge between executive leadership and technical teams, translating business needs into analytical execution.
- Drive the evolution of analytics, machine learning, and AI capabilities to strengthen competitive advantage.
- Develop and mentor technical leaders, including senior data scientists and team leads.
- Lead strategic initiatives and support key clients or business areas with advanced analytical solutions.
- Establish and disseminate best practices in data science, ensuring scalability and consistency across teams.
- Ensure strong alignment between data initiatives and the product roadmap, promoting scalable and productized solutions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, or related quantitative fields.
- Proven experience leading Data Science or advanced analytics teams.
- Strong background in structuring, scaling, or evolving data science or analytics organizations.
- Experience working in technology or SaaS-driven companies.
- Track record of deploying and scaling machine learning models into production environments.
- Strong strategic thinking combined with solid technical understanding of data science and analytics.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills with ability to influence executive stakeholders.
- Nice to have: Master’s or PhD in a quantitative field.
- Nice to have: experience with Marketing Mix Modeling (MMM), advanced analytics, or applied AI/ML solutions.
