Job Description
SUMMARY OF POSITION:
This role supports daily inventory integrity within our 245,000-square-foot distribution center. This role performs cycle counts, auditing inventory locations, identifying variances, working closely with Inventory Control, Receiving, and Operations teams to ensure stock accuracy, system integrity, and compliance with established SOPs. This position requires strong attention to detail, RF scanner proficiency, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform daily cycle counts, location & package audits, and inventory verifications as assigned.
- Audit high-risk inventory categories such as “ABC” items, inventory in odd locations and damaged goods.
- Ensure all counted locations meet proper labeling, organization and compliance requirements.
- Assist Receiving, Shipping and Operations teams in identifying mislabeled, missing or misplaced inventory.
- Communicate inventory issues that may impact fulfillment, replenishment, or customer orders.
- Support overall inventory accuracy initiatives, including physical counts, recounts and audits.
- Safely operate warehouse equipment (pallet jack, reach truck, or order picker) as certified.
POSITION SPECIFICS:
- Full-time position based in Goodyear, AZ
- Standard hours: Monday – Friday (with occasional weekend availability required)
- Knowledge of inventory control and warehouse operations.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining high accuracy and productivity
- Forklift certification (Reach Truck, Order Selector, Electric Pallet Jack, Counter-Balanced) preferred.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years of warehouse and inventory control experience preferred.
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (High-Jump preferred)
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to meet productivity goals while maintaining accuracy.
- Forklift certification (Reach, Order Selector, Electric Pallet Jack) preferred.
- Excellent attendance and punctuality are expected
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Candidate must be able to successfully perform the essential functions of this job with ability to: stand for long periods of time; ability to become certified (if operating equipment); constantly move about the warehouse; pulling/pushing a cart containing cartons; bend/stoop/kneel/crouch to handle product; regularly lift and/or move up to 35 pounds; the ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand; must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations; and the ability to observe details at close range (within a few feed of the observer). The work environment is often noisy with honking from passing forklifts and experiences hot/cold temperature fluctuations due to outside weather.
