Job Description
POSITION: Marketing and Sales Intern
DEPARTMENT: Box Office
REPORTS TO: Box Office Manager
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
•Assists in maintaining and servicing client accounts (Club Seat and Suite holders).
•Helps implement group sales efforts as determined on an event-by-event basis.
•Assists Sales effort in helping accomplish sales and marketing goals.
•Sends client pre-event information and follow-up information.
•Charges/bills and maintains client account information.
•Quotes rates and assists with formal license agreements and prepares contracts.
•Handles pre-event correspondence and meetings until such time as account can be turned over to an Event Coordinator.
•Assists Marketing Manager in developing Marketing Plan to include goals and advertising.
•Carries out specific marketing plan relating to events using support of advertising, as requested by the Manager.
•Provide all guests with a positive first impression by offering superior guest service.
•Accurately operate the Ticketmaster computer ticketing system to sell tickets.
•Communicate with guests to locate and deliver will-call tickets.
•Provide information regarding events and facilities both in person and on the telephone.
•Provide superior customer services to all patrons in the facility.
•Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Education and/or Experience
•Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or University in Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations, or related field preferred.
Skills and Abilities
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
•Adobe Photoshop experience preferred.
•Ability to prioritize multiple projects.
•Basic understanding of demographics and media buying ability.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of database software, spreadsheet, graphics, and word processing software.
Other Qualifications
Ability to work irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays in addition to normal business hours as needed to cover events.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
