- Manage multiple projects and contracts concurrently, with values ranging from £10,000 to £5 million and a particular focus on M&E delivery.
- Oversee mechanical and electrical packages from pre-construction through installation, commissioning and handover.
- Plan and programme works at tender stage and project outset using Asta Powerproject, ensuring M&E activities are fully coordinated with the wider construction programme.
- Work closely with the Commercial team to manage contract finances, budgets and profitable delivery.
- Coordinate the procurement of M&E subcontractors, specialist suppliers and materials, producing clear procurement schedules.
- Lead client, consultant, subcontractor and project team meetings, including programme, phasing and technical coordination presentations.
- Monitor quality, testing, commissioning, certification and handover requirements across mechanical and electrical installations.
- Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety legislation and our internal H&S Management System.
- Lead, support and develop operational teams, setting clear objectives and delegating effectively.
- Build strong relationships with clients and consistently deliver against their expectations.
- About you
- Significant fit-out experience with a strong mechanical and electrical bias and a track record of delivering profitable, quality-led contracts.
- Strong practical understanding of building services, M&E coordination, installation, testing, commissioning and handover.
- Experience managing multiple projects and specialist M&E subcontractors, ideally within a blue-chip contractor environment.
- Previous line management experience with strong leadership, delegation and team development skills.
- Confident using Asta Powerproject, Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Excellent planning, technical, problem-solving and communication skills.
- A valid driving licence, CSCS Management card, SMSTS, First Aid and Fire Warden qualifications.
- A flexible approach to working hours and travel to project sites.
Desirable experience
Experience delivering complex mechanical and electrical packages within fit-out, retail banking or framework environments would be advantageous, alongside knowledge of design and build and experience running larger contracts valued at approximately £500,000 to £5 million.
Working arrangements
The role is based from our Livingston office, with hybrid working where possible and site-based working as required. Standard hours are 8.00am–5.00pm Monday to Thursday and 8.00am–4.00pm on Friday, with a one-hour lunch break each day.
