Job Description
Job Description: Flight Operations Engineer
Reports to: Chief Flight Operations Engineer(CFOE)
CQC Aeronautics, Inc. Brief
CQC Aeronautics is a consulting services and software development firm built on the science
and profession of flight operations engineering. We believe the decisions that shape aviation
should always be based on the Coverage, Quality and Currency of the best available
information whether it is for aircraft operators, ANSPs, airports, OEMs or even members of the
public.
Our consulting team worksdirectlywith airportsand other aviation clients, who face complex
aircraft performance and flight operations engineering challenges. This regularly includes
runway length determination, obstacle mitigation, weather prediction, airspace analysis,
instrument procedure feasibility, payload-range studies, safety assessments, aeronautical data
management, regulatory compliance and stakeholder coordination.
Our Software-as-a-Service platform, AERefinery, is the first to put these flight operations
engineering capabilities directly into the hands of airports, ANSPs, airlines and their consultants.
AERefinery users can explore, analyze, and collaborate within a common browser-based
ecosystem of information and analysis capabilities that reveal challenges and provide solutions
without the need for additional human assistance. Every professional service we provide as
consultants becomes a new capability for the industry to take advantage of when planning,
designing and operating airports and airspace.
Job Brief
We are looking for a full-time Flight Operations Engineer to join the professional services team at
CQC. The position involves a wide range of work with airport planning, design, and operations
along with extensive aircraft and operator-focused performance and flight operations
engineering. The role reports to the Chief Flight Operations Engineer(CFOE) , and will be
expected to independently analyze challenges as well as communicate solutions in writing and
through public/virtual presentations.
CQC is a remote -first team. You'll manage your own projects day to day, collaborate with
colleagues virtually, and join occasional in-person work sessions, which are easier if you live near

new users of AERefinery. Over time, the position is expected to develop into a senior technical
and client-delivery role within CQC, with increasing responsibilityfor consulting engagements,
customer implementation, and coordination of specialized flight operations engineering
resources.

airport operations, aircraft performance, or flight operations/aeronautical engineeringwho
thrives in a dynamic, founder-led environment and combines strong technical and analytical
