Position Summary:

Tigua Facility Services (TFS), part of Tigua Inc., supports federal facilities, operations, maintenance, logistics, and mission-support requirements. Tigua Inc. is owned by the Ysleta del Sur Pueblo (Ysleta Tribe). This anticipated position will support Air Force Civil Engineer Center operations, facilities, test ranges, laboratories, and research, development, test, and evaluation activities at Tyndall Air Force Base.

Perform senior-level facilities maintenance, construction, renovation, repair, and test-support work across multiple Allied Trades disciplines. The technician will complete work from planning and layout through installation, repair, inspection, documentation, and turnover while supporting other contract work centers as required.

This role supports a potential contract.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform rough and finish carpentry, structural repairs, office and facility renovations, framing, installation, modification, and precision layout from drawings and specifications.
  • Install, troubleshoot, modify, repair, and maintain plumbing utility, supply, disposal, fixture, and backflow-prevention systems within assigned authority and applicable licensing boundaries.
  • Maintain, repair, alter, and construct concrete and masonry surfaces and structures; calculate material quantities and prepare, place, finish, and cure materials.
  • Prepare and coat interior and exterior surfaces; remove paint and corrosion, repair substrates, mix and match coatings, and apply materials using approved methods.
  • Repair and install asphalt, tile, slate, roll, felt, and shingle roofing systems and replace damaged or deteriorated sections.
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on appliances, equipment, systems, and components; document repair and maintenance actions.
  • Construct, maintain, and repair facilities, structures, test articles, safety items, and RDT&E support configurations.
  • Use the Government work-order system, work-unit numbers, AF Form 332 process, drawings, technical data, and completion documentation as required.
  • Support material movement, shop logistics, meetings, emergency preparation, post-storm cleanup, and cross-t​​rade assignments.
  • Follow safety, PPE, housekeeping, hazardous-material and waste-handling, environmental, quality, and tool-control requirements.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of related Allied Trades/facilities experience.
  • Broad working knowledge of carpentry, roofing, plumbing, painting, concrete/masonry, appliance/equipment repair, facilities maintenance, and related functions.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints, specifications, schematics, technical manuals, codes, and written work instructions.
  • Demonstrated skill with trade mathematics, measuring devices, hand tools, portable power tools, and applicable test equipment.
  • Knowledge of jobsite safety, PPE, environmental controls, and hazardous-material/waste requirements.
  • Ability to satisfy the background investigation and installation-access requirements established by the final contract.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior DoD, Air Force, federal installation, laboratory, test range, or RDT&E facilities experience.
  • Experience with work-order/CMMS systems, preventive maintenance, quality inspections, and AF Form 332 or comparable work-request processes.
  • Documented trade certifications, OSHA training, equipment qualifications, or apprenticeship completion.


Contract Requirements

  • Ability to work onsite at Tyndall Air Force Base, Florida, and satisfy installation access requirements.
  • Valid state driver’s license and ability to operate Government-owned vehicles when authorized.
  • Ability to comply with applicable Air Force, DoD, federal, state, local, safety, environmental, information-security, and facility requirements.
  • Ability to work Monday through Friday within the anticipated 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Central Time operating window, with maximum staffing during core hours, currently 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
  • Availability for occasional flexible schedules, approved travel/temporary duty, emergency response, severe-weather preparation or recovery, and mission-essential crisis support.
  • Ability to use Government and company work-order, database, reporting, document-control, and communication systems.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with other trades, logistics, laboratory, safety, fabrication, Government, and subcontractor personnel.


Work Environment

  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, climbing, reaching, and use of hand and power tools.
  • Ability to lift and carry tools, equipment, and materials consistent with assigned work and approved lifting practices.
  • Work indoors and outdoors in heat, humidity, rain, wind, noise, dust, dirt, grease, uneven terrain, and active maintenance/test environments.
  • Ability to wear required PPE and respond to short-notice site conditions safely.
