This role offers an opportunity to shape the future of precision oncology by providing strategic medical leadership across melanoma, skin cancer, and immuno-oncology initiatives.
The position focuses on advancing clinical adoption of innovative diagnostic solutions through evidence generation, scientific collaboration, and stakeholder engagement.
You will work closely with research, development, medical affairs, regulatory, and commercial teams to translate complex oncology data into meaningful clinical impact.
The role requires deep expertise in immunotherapy, biomarkers, and cancer care, with the ability to influence physicians, researchers, and healthcare organizations.
As a key scientific leader, you will help define clinical strategies, support product development, and expand the use of advanced oncology technologies.

Accountabilities:

The Medical Director will provide scientific and clinical leadership to support the advancement of oncology programs, ensuring evidence-based strategies and strong engagement with healthcare stakeholders. The role combines medical expertise, cross-functional collaboration, and external advocacy to accelerate adoption of innovative diagnostic approaches.

  • Lead clinical strategy and evidence-generation initiatives focused on melanoma, cutaneous malignancies, and immunotherapy applications across solid tumors.
  • Collaborate with research, development, medical affairs, regulatory, and commercial teams to translate emerging scientific evidence into clinical practice strategies.
  • Engage with key opinion leaders, academic investigators, cooperative groups, and healthcare organizations to validate and expand clinical applications.
  • Provide medical education and scientific guidance to physicians, payers, advocacy groups, and internal teams regarding diagnostic utility and patient impact.
  • Serve as a scientific spokesperson at conferences, advisory boards, investigator meetings, and industry events.
  • Develop educational materials, scientific communications, and training resources to support healthcare provider engagement.
  • Contribute to clinical trial design, translational research initiatives, data interpretation, and publication strategies.
  • Identify opportunities to improve clinical adoption by addressing evidence gaps, stakeholder needs, and evolving standards of care.
  • Promote scientific excellence and innovation across medical affairs and research organizations.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate is an experienced oncology physician and scientific leader with strong expertise in melanoma, immunotherapy, and translational medicine. They should be comfortable working across multidisciplinary teams and communicating complex scientific concepts to diverse audiences.

  • MD or DO degree with board certification in Medical Oncology required.
  • At least 5 years of oncology experience, with clinical or research expertise in melanoma, skin cancers, or immunotherapy preferred.
  • Strong understanding of immunotherapy mechanisms, response monitoring, biomarker development, and oncology treatment pathways.
  • Experience with clinical trials, scientific publications, or translational oncology research preferred.
  • Ability to evaluate and communicate the clinical relevance of molecular testing technologies and precision medicine approaches.
  • Knowledge of liquid biopsy, circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA), and emerging oncology diagnostic trends.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including scientific presentations and medical education.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with research, commercial, clinical, and regulatory teams.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple strategic initiatives.
  • Ability to build trusted relationships and influence stakeholders in complex healthcare environments.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 40% domestically and internationally.
