About the Role:
We are looking to hire a reliable and energetic Receiving Clerk. The Receiving Clerk plays a critical role in the supply chain by ensuring that all incoming shipments are accurately received, inspected, and documented. This position is responsible for verifying the quantity and quality of goods received against purchase orders and shipping documents to maintain inventory accuracy. The Receiving Clerk collaborates closely with warehouse staff and procurement teams to resolve discrepancies and facilitate smooth inventory flow. Attention to detail and organizational skills are essential to prevent errors and support efficient warehouse operations. Ultimately, this role contributes to maintaining the integrity of inventory records and supports overall operational efficiency within the organization.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic computer skills, including familiarity with inventory management software or databases.
- Ability to lift and move moderate weights (typically up to 50 pounds) safely.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Good communication skills to interact effectively with team members and suppliers.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a receiving or warehouse clerk role.
- Familiarity with barcode scanning technology and warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Basic knowledge of safety regulations and procedures in a warehouse environment.
- Ability to operate material handling equipment such as forklifts (with certification).
- Experience working in a fast-paced logistics or distribution setting.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy, quality, and damage.
- Verify received goods against purchase orders and shipping documents.
- Accurately document and record all received items into inventory management systems.
- Report and resolve any discrepancies or damaged goods with suppliers and internal teams.
- Coordinate with warehouse personnel to ensure proper storage and handling of received items.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area to promote safety and efficiency.
- Assist in periodic inventory audits and cycle counts as needed.

The Receiving Clerk uses attention to detail daily to verify shipment contents and ensure accuracy in inventory records, preventing costly errors. Strong organizational skills help manage multiple shipments and maintain a clean, efficient receiving area.
