Job Description
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Machine Shop Maintenance Technician/Electrician is responsible for maintaining and repairing a variety of machines and equipment, troubleshoot and repairing various equipment and machines, balance workload for downtime on equipment, work with vendors for parts and repairs, and maintain and troubleshoot facility systems.
SPECIFIC TASKS AND DUTIES:
1. Daily Preventative maintenance on all machines.
2. Operate equipment and machines.
3. Maintain a safe and clean working area.
4. Use CMMS maintenance software for work requests and documentation.
5. Electrical work: connecting machines, 480/240/120V, 24VDC wiring.
6. Facilities maintenance.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1. High school diploma or equivalent required.
2. Two (2) or more years of experience in industrial maintenance, machine maintenance, or electrical/mechanical troubleshooting.
3. Experience troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
4. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and equipment documentation.
5. Strong computer and communication skills, including the ability to utilize Microsoft Office Suite and maintenance software systems.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Experience maintaining and repairing CNC machines, manual lathes, mills, and industrial manufacturing equipment.
2. Experience working with electrical systems including 480V, 240V, 120V, and 24VDC controls and wiring.
3. Experience with PLC troubleshooting, servo motors, drives, and industrial automation systems.
4. Experience installing EMT conduit and electrical distribution systems.
5. Technical training, certification, or degree in industrial maintenance, electrical, mechanical, or related field.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
1. Knowledge of industrial mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and facility systems.
2. Ability to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production equipment to minimize downtime and support operations.
3. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and equipment manuals.
4. Ability to utilize CMMS software to document work orders, preventive maintenance activities, and equipment history.
5. Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills with the ability to work effectively with employees, supervisors, and vendors.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
1. Hot and cold temperatures/uncontrolled environment.
2. Overtime as required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
1. Must be able to push/pull up to 75 pounds.
2. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
3. Must be able to work in difficult situations-tight spots/bending/squatting.
