Job Description

SUMMARY:

The primary responsibility of the Beverage Server/Cocktails is to ensure complete guest satisfaction by serving and providing beverages to our guests in a friendly professional manner. Must be an Ambassador of Customer service.

The Cocktail server must be able to Smile, initiate friendly verbal greeting, anticipate guest’s needs, upbeat and positive, using guest name when possible and providing a fond warm farewell at the end of each interaction

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (Includes but not limited to the following)

· Provide friendly, fast, and helpful customer service, through the consistent practice and delivery of our vision of treating our guests and each other with kindness, dignity and respect.

· Knowledge of all cocktails, beer and wine products and service.

· Knowledge of Beverage service etiquette.

· Remove empty beverage glasses quickly and quietly so the game is not interrupted.

· Orders all beverages through Point-of-Sale system prior leaving the bar and out to the Casino floor. Collects payment from customer upon service of beverages at the gaming machines.

· Maintain an upbeat positive attitude and smiling to provide a friendly courteous service at all times.

· Must be visible on Casino floor and be observant of requests for service from guests, or floor persons.

· Must be carrying at least 5-7 drinks” Favorite Drinks” (Soda, Water, Coffee etc.) at the start of his/her shift.

· Provides fast (20 minute or less round time), friendly, professional beverage service to casino guests; carries full trays on every round.

· Takes drink orders, communicates with bartender, assists in the preparation of drinks and presents drinks to guests.

· Maintains clean and stocked workstation.

· Handles money according to procedure.

· Must comply with Tips training standards.

· Monitors guest consumption of alcohol and intervenes as needed according to guidelines and communicate effectively and efficiently to team members and Supervisors with number of alcoholic drinks served to one guest at a time.

· Perform general cleaning tasks using standard cleaning products as assigned by supervisor to adhere to health standards. Maintain stock and clean during shift.

· Operate restaurant coffee machine and grinders. Restock items as needed to perform job.

· Maintain cleanliness of all cocktail service areas.

· Provide basic menu information as requested by customers.

· Perform other duties requested by management, for example, cleaning unexpected spills, or special customers request, to ensure total customer satisfaction.

· Ability to work under pressure during busy periods.

· Ability to work entire shift standing, walking and or bending continuously to perform essential job functions.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

· This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS

· To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to competently perform each essential duty.

· Must obtain an RBS training certification within 60 days of employment. The passage of Assembly Bills 1221 in 2017 and 82 in 2020, effective July 1, 2022, dictates any alcoholic beverage server must have a valid responsible beverage service (RBS) certification within 60 days from their first date of employment. To become certified, you must complete RBS training from an ABC-accredited RBS training provider and pass an ABC-administered RBS exam.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

· The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those a team member encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Should be able to adapt well to the casino environment. Involving large numbers of people. Loud and continuous high noise level. Must also be able to psychologically handle the concepts of persons occupying an establishment for the purposes of gambling, drinking, eating and smoking for long periods of time.
