Maritime Logistics Analyst

Blackrock Strategy, Inc. | Remote (U.S.) | Full-Time

Travel: Approximately 50–75% travel is expected in support of government test events, fleet exercises, demonstrations, staging activities, and customer engagements. Candidates should reside within a reasonable distance of major U.S. government maritime testing locations.

Position Overview

Blackrock Strategy is seeking an experienced Maritime Logistics Analyst to support the planning, coordination, and execution of logistics activities for test, evaluation, and experimentation (T&E) events involving unmanned maritime systems.

Reporting to the Director of Maritime Operations and working closely with the Operations Chief, this position serves as the primary logistics coordinator for the Maritime Execution Team (MET), supporting government sponsors, program offices, engineers, operators, and operational users throughout experimentation events involving unmanned surface, subsurface, and expeditionary systems.

The Logistics Analyst collaborates with government and industry stakeholders to coordinate logistics activities supporting field experimentation events, including equipment staging, transportation, procurement, vessel coordination, inventory accountability, and site readiness.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Support the planning, coordination, and execution of logistics activities supporting maritime test, evaluation, and experimentation events.
  • Coordinate range access, safety vessel support, staging activities, and site readiness for field events and demonstrations.
  • Coordinate transportation, staging, and accountability of unmanned maritime systems, associated support equipment, and sensitive government-furnished property.
  • Coordinate logistics activities with the Operations Chief, Maritime UxS Pilots, Maritime Field Engineers, government sponsors, and industry partners to support successful event execution.
  • Support procurement activities for parts, consumables, specialized equipment, and other operational requirements.
  • Maintain equipment inventories, accountability records, maintenance schedules, and logistics documentation supporting operational readiness.
  • Coordinate shipping, transportation, and deployment of equipment supporting domestic and expeditionary test locations.
  • Collaborate with technical personnel to identify logistics requirements supporting evolving mission objectives.
  • Support operational planning by identifying logistics constraints, coordinating resources, and assisting with risk mitigation activities.
  • Prepare logistics status updates, inventory reports, procurement documentation, and supporting records for program leadership and government customers.
  • Perform other duties in support of customer and organizational objectives as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Candidates should possess one of the following:

  • Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience supporting maritime logistics, unmanned maritime systems, test and evaluation, maritime operations, or related operational activities;

OR

  • 10+ years of directly related operational experience in lieu of a degree.


Additionally, candidates should possess:

  • Experience coordinating maritime range operations, safety vessel support, or logistics activities supporting at-sea operations.
  • Experience staging, transporting, and maintaining accountability of Unmanned Underwater Vehicles (UUV), Unmanned Surface Vehicles (USV), Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROV), or comparable maritime systems.
  • Experience supporting procurement, inventory management, supply chain coordination, or logistics activities supporting operational or field environments.
  • Experience supporting government test, evaluation, experimentation, or operational events involving multiple organizations or stakeholders.
  • Working knowledge of maritime mission areas including Mine Countermeasures (MCM), Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR), Electronic Warfare (EW), or Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW).
  • Active Secret Security Clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain eligibility.
  • U.S. Citizenship.
  • Ability and willingness to travel in support of customer requirements.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Active Top Secret Security Clearance.
  • Experience supporting Office of Unmanned Systems Warfare (OUSW) Research & Engineering organizations or Navy Program Offices.
  • Experience supporting Special Operations Forces (SOF) maritime activities.
  • Experience coordinating safety vessels, RHIB operations, or maritime range activities.
  • Experience supporting government procurement processes, vendor management, or acquisition of specialized maritime equipment.
  • Experience coordinating shipping, transportation, customs, or import/export logistics supporting remote or overseas operations.
  • Familiarity with a broad range of unmanned maritime systems and associated maintenance, transport, and staging requirements.
  • Experience working alongside allied or partner-nation maritime organizations.
  • U.S. Coast Guard Captain's License, Navy Small Craft Coxswain qualification, or equivalent maritime vessel operations experience.
