Job Description
Applications will be reviewed commencing the “closing date for internal CUPE applicants” and may continue until the position is filled.
Internal CUPE applicants must submit their application by 4pm on the “closing date for internal CUPE applicants” for their Seniority to be recognized. Applications received after the "closing date for internal CUPE applicants" will be considered alongside external applicants.
Performs dishwashing, pot and pan cleaning, and housekeeping duties.
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Washes, dries and stores dishes, utensils, pots, pans and other kitchen equipment.
- Cleans dishwasher machine, garbareter and conveyor equipment.
- Performs housekeeping duties such as cleaning countertops, sinks, dusting, spot washing walls and splash areas.
- Performs other duties related to the function of the Kitchen Aide as required.
REPORTS TO
Manager of Operations, FACT and Culinary Chair
EDUCATION
- Grade 10 or equivalent
EXPERIENCE
- Three months' related experience
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE OR ABILITIES RELATED TO THE JOB
- Ability to operate related equipment such as a dishwasher machine
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Kitchen environment: standing for long periods of time, operating commercial dishwasher, water and steam, some exposure to cleansing agents
