Job Description
Spectra Gutter Systems is seeking a Branch Manager to lead the launch and ongoing operations of a new branch location in Pompano Beach, Florida. This is an opportunity for a hands-on, entrepreneurial leader to establish Spectra's presence in the local market and build the foundation for long-term branch growth and success.
The Branch Manager is responsible for the overall performance of the branch, including sales and market development, customer service, warehouse and distribution operations, inventory management, financial performance, and team leadership. During the launch and initial growth period, this role will also lead local operational readiness, build and develop the branch team, establish operating routines and performance expectations, and develop customer relationships within the market.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong business acumen and an entrepreneurial mindset who is comfortable building a business while managing its daily operations. This individual should be able to establish structure, solve problems, develop people, and balance growth, operational execution, and customer satisfaction in a fast-paced, evolving environment
Responsibilities:
New Branch Launch & Market Development
• Lead the local execution of the new branch launch in partnership with regional and corporate leadership, helping ensure the location is operationally prepared for opening and continued growth.
• Partner with Talent Acquisition and leadership to recruit, select, onboard, train, and develop the initial branch team and future hires as business needs expand.
• Establish branch operating routines, communication practices, performance expectations, and accountability standards from the outset.
• Build a strong branch culture centered on safety, customer service, teamwork, accountability, and results.
• Develop the local market by building relationships with contractors, customers, and prospects; monitoring competitive activity; and identifying opportunities to grow revenue and establish Spectra's presence.
• Evaluate staffing, operational capacity, and resource needs as branch volume grows and communicate recommendations to leadership.
• Remain flexible and hands-on during the start-up period, assisting across branch functions as necessary to support customers and maintain operational continuity.
Branch Leadership & Business Performance
• Oversee daily branch operations to ensure safe, efficient, and effective business performance.
• Develop and execute strategies to drive sales growth, achieve revenue objectives, improve profitability, and support long-term branch performance.
• Monitor branch financial and operational performance, identify trends and opportunities for improvement, and implement appropriate actions.
• Partner with sales employees and leadership to strengthen customer engagement, develop business opportunities, and support revenue growth.
• Maintain a high level of customer service by ensuring timely resolution of concerns and building strong, long-term customer relationships.
• Manage inventory control, warehouse and distribution activities, operational processes, and compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Ensure appropriate standards for safety, inventory accuracy, order fulfillment, delivery execution, facility organization, and customer service.
• Establish clear performance expectations, coach and develop employees, hold the team accountable for results, and foster a positive, collaborative, and performance-driven culture.
• Work closely with regional and corporate leadership and cross-functional partners to support company goals, resolve operational issues, and execute strategic initiatives.
• Prepare and communicate branch performance reports, business updates, operational needs, risks, and growth opportunities to leadership.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:- Previous leadership or management experience in branch operations, distribution, building materials, manufacturing, wholesale, construction-related products, or a similar operational environment preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage multiple areas of a business, including sales, customer service, operations, inventory, and employee performance.
• Experience opening, launching, growing, or significantly improving a branch, location, territory, or business operation strongly preferred.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to understand financial and operational performance, identify opportunities, and make sound business decisions.
• Proven ability to drive sales performance, develop customer relationships, and achieve operational and business results.
• Strong leadership, communication, coaching, and team-development skills with demonstrated experience managing performance and accountability.
• Ability to establish structure, processes, and accountability in a new or evolving environment.
• Entrepreneurial and growth-oriented mindset with the ability to take ownership, solve problems, and operate effectively with changing priorities.
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and business systems or CRM platforms preferred.
• Bachelor's degree preferred or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
