About the Role
This role requires working cross-functionally with Project Managers and designers to interpret art briefs, design Editorial materials, including book covers, book layouts, supporting illustrations, and develop Digital UI designs for Digital platforms. The incumbent will provide creative design concepts and branding solutions for allocated projects, ensuring the appropriate quality of print and digital products. Developing concepts, graphics, and layouts for product illustration and performing pre-press operations for all print and promotional materials for valued clients. Keeping abreast of market trends and developments in design, illustration, typography, etc., and publishing technologies (including e-book technology and the delivery of online content). Ensuring all design proofs are in accordance with the brand guidelines.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
● Relevant Bachelor’s degree in Communication Design, Fine Arts, etc.
● A minimum of 3-4 years of prior design experience, preferably in book publishing or EdTech industry, Advertising (with commercial work showcase).
● Passionate about children’s books and have a design portfolio showcasing exceptional design sense and work that is relevant to the position.
● Strong aesthetic sense (illustration and design) with ability to listen, interpret, and visualize design concepts and elements to all levels of the organization.
● Proficiency in all Adobe for print software: InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, including knowledge of MS office applications.
