You will lead client-facing discussions, manage requirements, and coordinate cross-functional project activities from implementation through delivery.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead and contribute to software implementation and GIS integration projects, supporting solutions based on AutoCAD, GIS, ERP, and EAM technologies.

  • Apply knowledge of utility GIS and engineering design data models to support projects involving electric distribution, transmission, and substation environments.
  • Provide technical insight into GIS platforms, software integrations, implementation approaches, and relevant industry practices.
  • Contribute to project testing, Agile delivery activities, solution validation, and continuous improvement of implementation processes.
  • Build strong client relationships while identifying opportunities to expand technical leadership and contribute to broader delivery initiatives and partner engagements.
  • Travel as required, averaging approximately 30%, based on project needs, project phases, conferences, and internal events.

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of professional experience in consulting services, software development, or a closely related technical discipline.
  • Strong programming experience with C#/.NET and Java.
  • Professional experience with GIS platforms such as Esri ArcGIS, GE Smallworld, or comparable GIS technologies.
  • Experience working with databases, particularly Oracle and SQL.
  • Experience in the utilities industry, including familiarity with GIS data models and/or engineering design data models.
  • Experience with data translation, ETL processes, and enterprise system integrations.
  • Demonstrated consulting experience delivering client-facing software implementations and translating client requirements into technical solutions.
  • Ability to facilitate meetings, gather and assess requirements, and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of solution architecture, software parameters, implementation practices, and industry best practices.
  • GIS Analyst experience and knowledge of GIS data structures, mapping, and data analysis are preferred.
  • Experience with web services, APIs, and other integration technologies is preferred.
  • Engineering, drafting, or technical design experience is an advantage, particularly experience with Autodesk AutoCAD.
  • Experience with AutoCAD Map 3D, Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD Electrical, Feature Manipulation Engine, or similar technical software is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Agile delivery methodologies and test-driven processes is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with electric distribution, transmission, and substation design domains is preferred.
  • For Esri environments, experience with ArcMap, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise portals, services, and geodatabases is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
  • Willingness and ability to travel approximately 30% depending on project requirements.
