Opportunity (Part-Time): Fighter Pilot Subject Matter Expert (SME)
Bottom Line Up Front: Hoplite Group is seeking a Fighter Pilot Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support a U.S. Government (USG) building partner capacity effort focused on strengthening a partner nation’s combat aviation capabilities through operational advising, analysis, training, and sustainment planning.
Location: Remote support (CONUS) and forward engagements (OCONUS) as part of a U.S. Government advising effort.
Level of Effort:
Availability: Immediate
Objective: Support combat aviation capability development efforts through operational analysis, planning, training, and sustainment advisory support.
Required Qualifications:
Bottom Line Up Front: Hoplite Group is seeking a Fighter Pilot Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support a U.S. Government (USG) building partner capacity effort focused on strengthening a partner nation’s combat aviation capabilities through operational advising, analysis, training, and sustainment planning.
Location: Remote support (CONUS) and forward engagements (OCONUS) as part of a U.S. Government advising effort.
Level of Effort:
- Non-travel months: Approximately 30–50 hours/month.
- Travel months: Approximately 80–90 hours/month.
- Initial travel anticipated October 2026
Availability: Immediate
Objective: Support combat aviation capability development efforts through operational analysis, planning, training, and sustainment advisory support.
Required Qualifications:
- Retired O-6 with experience commanding at the Squadron, Group, or Wing level.
- Experience as an F-16, F/A-18, or F-35 pilot.
- Understanding of U.S. defense planning and strategy development.
- Experience with operational analysis, readiness reporting, and doctrine or CONOPS development.
- Experience supporting combat aircraft operations planning and strategy development.
- Experience evaluating operational plans and operational risk.
- Graduate of SAASS, SAMS, SAW, or similar advanced military planning program.
- Experience supporting aviation capability development or institutional capacity-building efforts.
- Active US Secret Security clearance.
