Job Description

Director of Inventory Partnerships (AdTech)

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Director of Inventory Partnerships (AdTech) based in India.

As the founding leader of inventory partnerships, you will build and define the supply-side function for a high-growth demand-side platform. You will own relationships with SSPs, exchanges, premium publishers, and media owners while expanding access to high-quality inventory. The role combines strategic partnership development with hands-on analysis and operational execution. You will shape how inventory is organized, packaged, productized, and brought to market across 38 categories. Working closely with Product, Sales, Marketing, and Ad Operations, you will directly influence both supply strategy and commercial growth. You will also play an active role in securing premium inventory for key advertisers and improving supply efficiency across the platform. As the business scales, this position offers a clear opportunity to build and lead an inventory partnerships team.

Accountabilities:
  • Own and develop the overall inventory partnerships strategy, establishing the function and operating model from the ground up.
  • Analyze traffic and supply coming into the DSP through SSPs and exchanges, identifying opportunities to improve inventory quality, scale, brand safety, and supply efficiency.
  • Develop strategies to increase access to premium inventory, curated marketplaces, and high-value supply sources aligned with advertiser demand.
  • Build, manage, and expand strategic relationships with SSPs, exchanges, premium publishers, and media owners.
  • Negotiate and manage inventory agreements, including Private Marketplace (PMP) and Programmatic Guaranteed deals.
  • Identify new publisher and supply opportunities based on advertiser requirements, campaign objectives, and marketplace dynamics.
  • Work closely with Product and Go-to-Market teams to organize inventory across 38 categories and develop compelling inventory packages, bundles, and libraries.
  • Help establish and evolve a dedicated inventory go-to-market motion, supporting the commercialization of inventory through the platform.
  • Partner with Sales and Marketing to package premium inventory and support client-facing opportunities and key advertiser deals.
  • Collaborate with Ad Operations and Product teams to investigate and resolve inventory, bidstream, and campaign-delivery issues.
  • Monitor programmatic supply trends, emerging inventory sources, CTV opportunities, curated marketplaces, and changes in marketplace dynamics.
  • Provide market intelligence and recommendations on new supply partnerships, channels, and inventory strategies.
  • Use bidstream data and supply metrics to evaluate performance and guide inventory optimization decisions.
  • As the function grows, develop the organizational structure and eventually build and lead an inventory partnerships team.
Requirements:
  • 7+ years of experience in programmatic advertising, DSP or SSP partnerships, publisher partnerships, or a closely related AdTech environment.
  • Strong understanding of the programmatic ecosystem, including DSPs, SSPs, ad exchanges, PMPs, Programmatic Guaranteed deals, and supply paths.
  • Proven experience negotiating, establishing, and managing inventory partnerships with SSPs, publishers, or media owners.
  • Strong analytical capabilities, with the ability to interpret bidstream data, supply metrics, traffic patterns, and inventory performance.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and develop high-quality supply opportunities that align with advertiser demand.
  • Strong relationship-building, negotiation, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Commercial mindset with the ability to connect supply strategy to sales objectives and broader go-to-market initiatives.
  • Familiarity with OpenRTB, programmatic supply paths, and marketplace dynamics is a plus.
  • Experience working at a DSP, SSP, ad exchange, or programmatic media company is highly desirable.
  • Existing relationships with SSPs, premium publishers, or media owners are a strong advantage.
  • Knowledge of CTV, mobile, and web inventory ecosystems is preferred.
  • Comfortable operating as a founding functional leader with a high degree of autonomy, ownership, and hands-on involvement.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with Product, Sales, Marketing, and Ad Operations teams in a fast-paced environment.
Benefits:
  • Full-time, remote position with the flexibility to work from India.
  • Founding leadership opportunity to build and define an inventory partnerships function from the ground up.
  • High level of ownership and direct influence over supply strategy, productization, and go-to-market initiatives.
  • Opportunity to work closely with Product, Sales, Marketing, and Ad Operations teams.
  • Exposure to a broad programmatic ecosystem spanning SSPs, publishers, exchanges, curated marketplaces, and emerging inventory channels.
  • Opportunity to shape inventory offerings across 38 categories and directly influence commercial growth.
  • Clear potential to build and lead an inventory partnerships team as the business scales.
  • Opportunity to work within an established, award-winning DSP while having significant impact in a newly created leadership function.
  • Flexible remote-first working environment.
  • Compensation and additional benefits to be discussed during the hiring process.
