The Office of International Services is seeking an Immigration and Billing Coordinator to assist with legal immigration application and processes. The coordinator serves as liaison between the University and certain government agencies, ensures accurate document processing and University compliance and executes an array of immigration-related clerical accounting tasks while ensuring accuracy and compliance. They will be responsible for processing invoices, checks, reports and ensure accurate billing and accounting.
This is a hybrid position on-campus at least 1 day/week and as needed. A bachelor's degree plus 1 year working experience is required. Experience with Pitt billing systems is preferred. A resume and cover letter are required with application.
Assists with legal immigration applications and processes and serves as liaison between the University and government agencies. Ensures accurate document processing and the University's compliance.
Essential Functions
- Monitors compliance of J-1 program and ensures accuracy of documentation processes.
- Processes immigration casework for J-1 scholars and dependents.
- Serves as resource for all University members and affiliates regarding scholar visa matters.
- Assists in responding to immigration/visa related questions and resolving issues.
- Prepares and processes legal invoices and checks; records transactions; prepares, reviews and processes reports and statements.
- Provides guidance and support with immigration-related financial and accounting tasks.
- Updates and tracks financial spreadsheets; enters and checks data.
- Remains competent and current through self-directed professional reading, developing professional contacts with colleagues, attending professional development courses, and attending training and/or courses as directed.
- Compiles information and prepares various reports and analyses establishing progress, describing adverse trends, and stating recommendations and/or conclusions.
- Performs administrative duties including maintaining records, ordering supplies, and scheduling meetings; supports special projects as needed.
Physical Effort
Little physical effort required. Duties are primarily sedentary. May be required to move objects up to 25 pounds occasionally.

Hiring Range: $20-$23 per hour
