About Feeding Northeast Florida
Feeding Northeast Florida develops innovative strategies and partnerships to ensure access to nutritious food for all in our 12-county service area. We are dedicated to improving lives and building a healthier community by enhancing the health and capability of those in need, while empowering our partners to deliver health and nutrition programming throughout the region.
Position Summary:
The Home Delivery Program Manager is an operations-focused role that sits at the intersection of food bank logistics and Food is Medicine programming. This position is responsible for the delivery of food orders and program materials to FNEFL's clinical and Healthy Pantry partners, warehouse order fulfillment, and maintaining the high standard of customer service that sustains those partnerships. The Manager works primarily out of the FNEFL warehouse and in the field, serving as a reliable and knowledgeable presence for clinic and pantry partners receiving deliveries.
This is a working delivery role, not a traditional office-based management position. The incumbent is expected to actively handle cased food and deliver it to our clinic and other partners while maintaining positive relationships. The ideal candidate is calm under pressure, adaptable, highly organized, mission-driven, and able to maintain professional delivery standards and customer service.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Delivery Coordination and Logistics
- Receive and process referrals from clinic and community health partners and route neighbors into the appropriate delivery program based on program criteria
- Upload neighbor information and prepare delivery records for each program cycle
- Coordinate with delivery vendors -- including DoorDash Project DASH and Amazon Flex -- to schedule deliveries, confirm driver assignments, and ensure packages reach the correct recipients
- Support rural delivery logistics in coordination with the FNEFL Operations team
- Serve as the primary point of contact for neighbors, clinic partners, and internal departments regarding delivery status, troubleshooting, and issue resolution
- Respond promptly to delivery inquiries and resolve problems in real time
Partner and Clinic Support
- Support clinic and community health partner staff in understanding delivery program criteria, referral processes, and eligibility requirements
- Maintain active working relationships with designated contacts at each partner organization
- Respond to partner questions regarding program guidelines and referral logistics
- Participate in partner meetings and communications as needed to support program continuity
Data Management and Reporting
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date delivery records, referral data, and program enrollment information across all active delivery programs
- Track delivery metrics and program outputs to support grant reporting, program evaluation, and internal performance monitoring
- Compile and submit data reports on a schedule established by program leadership
- Ensure data integrity across referral sources, delivery logs, and outcome records
- Build and maintain program tracking tools in Microsoft Excel; develop templates and tracking systems as programs evolve
PROGRAMS IN SCOPE
The Home Delivery Program Manager supports all active and emerging FNEFL home delivery programs. Current programs include:
- Produce Prescription (Healthier Together) -- clinical referral-based produce delivery to program participants in partnership with healthcare providers
- Homebound Client Delivery -- ongoing door-to-door delivery for neighbors who are unable to access a pantry or distribution site
- Emergency Food Boxes -- rapid response delivery for neighbors who contact FNEFL directly with an acute food access need
- Rural Delivery -- delivery coordination for neighbors outside standard vendor coverage areas, managed in partnership with Operations
