Essential Functions
Performs the essential functions of the Teller III role.
Supports Branch Management with the supervision of the teller line operations.
Ensure tellers are following workflows, transactions are accurate and in compliance with established policies and procedures.
Supports branch management when there are changes to policies and procedures by ensuring the team understands the updates and can execute.
Perform daily vault balancing and oversee cash handling procedures, ensuring all discrepancies are promptly researched and resolved.
Supports branch management with monthly departmental audits to ensure compliance with internal controls, operational standards, and regulatory requirements.
Maintains an active teller drawer to assist customers as needed.
Identify cross-selling opportunities and refer customers to appropriate banking partners to support relationship growth and branch goals.
Resolve escalated customer concerns and effectively de-escalate complex situations in a professional and timely manager.
Assist with teller coaching and training to enhance performance, strengthen product knowledge, and maintain high service standards.
Monitors employee performance and provides ongoing feedback to branch management to support performance evaluations and address development opportunities.
Supports Branch Management with overall branch scheduling efforts, prepares and oversees teller schedules to ensure appropriate teller line coverage.
Supervisory Responsibility
Supervises the teller team.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers and phones.
Physical Demands
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
May need to stand for long periods of time.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time non-exempt position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Saturday 7:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Travel
Travel between branches may be required a few times a month.
Travel is limited, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected.
Required Education and Experience
Minimum 5 years of Teller experience
Minimum 1 year of Teller III or Teller Lead experience
High School education or equivalent
Demonstrated ability to coach and train employees
Ability to perform cash transactions accurately
Vault balancing experience
Demonstrated ability to solve problems
Strong attention to detail
Strong desire to cross-sell products and services
Excellent customer service skills
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work a flexible schedule including evening and weekends
Ability to work and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Models positive and supportive behavior
Proficient Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
