Title: FIFA Fan Services - Sector Coordinator
Locations: South Station, Boston Stadium (Foxboro), FIFA Fan Festival City Hall
Position Summary: Lead and manage a team of Host City Ambassador Volunteers to deliver exceptional guest services operations across official FIFA 2026 venues. Teams will support a variety of constituent groups, including media, talent, and ticket holders, while maintaining the highest standards of hospitality and event experience.
Shift Length: Varies, estimated 8-11 hours per shift
Rate: $35 per hour
Major Tasks/Responsibilities:
- Deploy Host City Ambassadors to positions as per the deployment plan and monitor performance.
- Manage Host City Ambassadors within a geographic area, if required, request assistance from other functions, such as Police.
- Escalate and/or resolve operational issues with appropriate venue personnel.
- Brief staff prior to session start.
- Complete site inspection of designated area prior to session start.
- Co-ordinate emergency management responses within area of responsibility.
- Monitor crowd flow in designated area, note and communicate changes.
- Provide clear instruction to inappropriately accredited people and ensure issue resolution.
- Listen to and resolve staff issues and escalate as appropriate.
- Redeploy staff within designated area as appropriate.
- Facilitate smooth movement of fans through ticket check and security screening.
- Communicate information to spectators.
- Communicate house rules and general information to fans.
- Correct, confirm and adjust signage plan as appropriate.
- Redeploy team within designated areas.
- Seek assistance from management team as appropriate.
Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Experience working with large event crowds.
- Observant and able to detect changes in large groups of people.
- Proficient managing volunteer teams.
- Effective oral communication skills.
- Confident handling verbal confrontation
- Strong supervisory, problem solving and leadership skills.
- Ability to operate effectively under stressful conditions.
- Ability to make decisions quickly and command appropriate action.
- Negotiation and arbitration skills.
- Confident use of a megaphone to a crowd.
The pay range for this role is:
35 - 35 USD per hour(Boston)
