About the Role
Reporting to the General Manager and collaborating with the operations team at Tersus, you will lead a team of Production Associates to ensure the success of our brand partners and the consistent achievement of daily production goals. You will oversee daily production activities, maintain quality standards, and foster a positive and accountable team culture in a fast-paced production environment.
This is a hands-on role for a strong people leader who is willing to get involved in every aspect of the process while also stepping back to assess workflows and drive continuous improvement. It is a physically active role that also requires strategic thinking and the ability to collaborate and communicate up and down the organization.
Key responsibilities:
- Ensure Health & Safety remains a top priority and a precondition for all operational activities.
- Lead, coach, and support a team of hourly Production Associates, fostering a workplace culture built on respect, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Set, monitor, and consistently meet or exceed daily production targets and operational KPIs.
- Conduct daily shift meetings to communicate priorities and establish a positive, productive tone for the day.
- Hold team members accountable for safety compliance, attendance, productivity, and quality standards.
- Deliver excellent customer service by supporting On-Time Delivery, maintaining quality standards, and responding effectively to operational needs and requests.
- Monitor production throughput throughout the shift and report any abnormalities, delays, or operational concerns.
- Partner with the maintenance team to minimize downtime by proactively identifying operational or equipment-related issues.
- Support the General Manager in identifying opportunities for process improvement, efficiency gains, and workflow optimization.
- Implement and sustain 5S, Lean Manufacturing, and continuous improvement initiatives across the production floor.
- Ensure all production activities are completed in compliance with company policies, quality standards, and operational procedures.
- Assist with employee training, onboarding, and performance development initiatives.
This position requires:
- A positive and growth-oriented mindset
- 3–5 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing, warehouse, production, or industrial operations
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and develop team members
- Demonstrated experience leading teams in a fast-paced production environment
- Ability to prioritize tasks, solve problems, and make sound operational decisions
- Knowledge of workplace health and safety standards
- Proficiency with computer systems and reporting tools (e.g., WMS, ERP, Google Workspace)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach and the flexibility to adapt to a changing production environment
Ideal if you have some combination of:
- A Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Engineering or Business Management
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles
- Forklift certification or production equipment experience
- Experience working with apparel or outdoor brands
- Interest or experience in the circular economy
