Inpatient Clinical Assistant in Lumberton, North Carolina at Southeastern Health

POSITION SUMMARY

Performs clerical, organizational and comm supervision of a RN or LPN. Assist in maintaining a clean, safe patient environment and performs job responsibilities in a safe and timely manner. The clinical assistant also performs functions such as related to transporting patients, communication functions. Provides personal, and basic care to patients assigned to the floor under the direct equipment, specimens and other items within the hospital, along with entering orders and answering telephones.

• EDUCATION, CREDENTIALS, TRAINING and EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum Required:

    • High school diploma or equivalent.

    • Completion of a Nursing Assistant I course approved by the North Carolina Board of Nursing.

    • Current listing with the NC Division of Facility Services Registry as a Nursing Assistant I.

    • BLS certification required:recertification required bi-annually.

    • Proficient in keyboard operations and basic computer applications.

    • Ability to operate standard office machines.

  • Preferred:

    • Knowledge of medical terminology and hospital operations upon hire.
