The Role

Join LUZCO as a Senior Transmission Line Engineer and serve as a key technical resource supporting utility engineering standards and transmission line design initiatives. This role will work directly onsite at a client's office, partnering closely with their engineering team to provide technical expertise, interpret design standards, and support complex engineering decisions.

This role is ideal for a seasoned professional who enjoys solving technical challenges, providing engineering guidance, and building strong client relationships. Unlike a traditional project-focused position, this opportunity is centered on engineering standards, technical leadership, and serving as a trusted engineering advisor embedded within the client's organization.

What Your Day Will Look Like

• Provide senior-level engineering expertise related to transmission and sub-transmission line design
• Review, interpret, and apply engineering standards, specifications, and design requirements
• Serve as a technical resource for complex design and engineering questions
• Work directly onsite with the client as an embedded engineering partner
• Develop recommendations and guidance to support consistent engineering practices
• Collaborate with utility stakeholders to evaluate and improve engineering standards and processes
• Support the development, maintenance, and implementation of transmission line design standards
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams as needed

What You'll Bring to the Familia

Essentials to Succeed:

• 10+ years of transmission line engineering experience; 15-20+ years preferred
• Strong background in transmission and sub-transmission line design
• Ability to independently evaluate technical issues and provide sound engineering guidance
• Experience developing, maintaining, interpreting, or applying engineering/design standards is highly preferred
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Comfortable working onsite and collaborating directly with client teams

What Will Make You Stand Out:

• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
• Demonstrated technical leadership experience
