Description:

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Automotive Production Technician to join our dealership service team. This position is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining Guest vehicles. The ideal candidate is productive, efficient, quality-minded, and motivated by a performance-based pay structure. You will work on a variety of vehicles while following manufacturer repair procedures and dealership quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair Guest vehicles accurately and efficiently
  • Perform routine maintenance and recommended services
  • Complete brake, suspension, steering, electrical, and engine-related repairs
  • Perform vehicle inspections and identify needed repairs
  • Use diagnostic equipment and scan tools to accurately identify vehicle concerns
  • Follow manufacturer repair procedures and technical specifications
  • Complete assigned repair orders within established time expectations
  • Properly document all work performed on repair orders
  • Maintain a high level of productivity under a flat rate pay system
  • Perform quality-control checks on completed repairs
  • Communicate effectively with service advisors regarding vehicle condition and repair needs
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
  • Properly maintain and use tools and diagnostic equipment
  • Stay current with manufacturer training, technology, and repair procedures

Qualifications

  • Previous automotive technician/mechanic experience
  • Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills
  • Ability to diagnose vehicle concerns accurately
  • Experience working in a flat-rate environment preferred
  • Ability to efficiently complete repairs while maintaining quality
  • Ability to use automotive diagnostic equipment and scan tools
  • Own basic hand tools required for the position
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

The workdays for this position are Monday through Friday, with a rotational Saturday. Our facilities are always closed on Sunday, and on designated Holidays throughout the year.

This position is paid a base Flat Rate for each hour produced and can earn additional incentives on top of the base Flat Rate pay. The starting Flat Rate range for this position is $19.00 – $28.00+ and will be evaluated based upon relevant skills, training, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law. The additional incentives are an additional production Incentive and a Guest/Customer Service Incentive, both based upon performance.
