Wage Range: $27.45 - $43.92 per hour
Posted wage ranges represent the entire range from minimum to maximum. For jobs with more than one level, the posted range reflects the minimum of the lowest level and the maximum of the highest level. Some positions also offer additional premiums based on shift, certifications or degrees. Job offers are determined based on a candidate's years of relevant experience, level of education and internal equity.
This position will work at both our Kirkland and Monroe locations.
Job Summary
Maintains the initial application and reappointment process for the credentialing and privileging of the Medical Staff and the Allied Health Professionals (AHPs). Accurately maintains credentialing and privileging database information. Provides support for various Medical Staff Committees.
Primary Duties
- Processes requests from employed and non-employed providers for medical staff membership and privileges for both initial appointment to the medical staff and reappointment per the Medical Staff Bylaws and Joint Commission standards.
- Accurately maintains credentialing and privileging database information, performs database entry, and produces reports from database information upon request.
- Assists with the preparation of various reports and queries (e.g. credentialing, privileging, proctoring, status and privilege changes and committee reports).
- Monitors provider information that involves an expiration date including medical license, DEA, and malpractice insurance.
- Processes applications for medical students, residents, allied health professional students and observers to enable them to perform rotations at EvergreenHealth.
- Serves as contact and support for Medical Staff and their committees, including agenda preparation, recording of minutes and meeting follow-up.
- Works collaboratively with Practitioners, Administrators, hospital staff, payers and staff from other entities.
- Monitors and processes Focused Professional Practice Evaluation (FPPE-I) and Proctoring.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
License, Certification, Education or Experience:
REQUIRED for the position:
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent combination of education/experience.
- 5 years of general office experience
- Strong analytical skills and statistical ability essential.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be highly organized and possess acute attention to detail.
DESIRED for the position:
- Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) or Certified Professional Medical Staff Manager (CPMSM)
- 3 years medical staff office experience
- MD-Staff credentialing software experience
