Junior Designer in Russellville, Arkansas at Arkansas Tech University (AR)

Arkansas Tech University is seeking a creative, collaborative, and detail-oriented Junior Designer to support the development and production of print and digital marketing materials that advance the university mission, brand, and strategic initiatives. Working under the guidance of the Senior Designer and Marketing & Communications leadership, this position assists with publications, recruitment materials, advertising campaigns, digital assets, and branded communications for prospective students, current students, alumni, donors, faculty, staff, and community stakeholders. This position offers flexible work arrangement options.
- Design marketing and communication materials including brochures, flyers, posters, postcards, banners, and promotional materials.
- Create digital assets including website graphics, social media graphics, email graphics, and digital signage.
- Assist with advertising materials including print ads, digital advertising, billboards, and recruitment campaigns.
- Design materials that adhere to Arkansas Tech University brand standards and visual identity guidelines.
- Develop and update branded templates and design resources for the university community.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and quality standards.
- Support annual student recruitment, enrollment, retention, alumni engagement, and advancement campaigns.
- Collaborate with Marketing & Communications staff and campus stakeholders.
- Prepare print-ready files and digital assets for production and distribution.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud applications, including Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe Photoshop.
- Experience creating graphic design materials for print, digital communications, or marketing purposes through academic projects, internships, freelance work, student employment, or professional experience.
- Ability to design within established brand standards and visual identity guidelines.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Fine Arts, Digital Media, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
- Three or more years of professional graphic design experience.
- Experience working in higher education, nonprofit organizations, government agencies.
- Main Campus - Russellville, Arkansas.
- Work is performed primarily in a professional office environment with regular use of computers, design software, and digital technology.
- Duties require extended periods of sitting, computer use, and visual concentration.
- Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds and attendance at university events may be required.
