ESCROW FUNDER & POST-CLOSING SPECIALIST
Accurate Group, an industry leader in technologydriven appraisal management and title services for real estate finance providers nationwide, is seeking an Escrow Funder & Post-Close Specialist to join its growing team! This position is responsible for providing operational support for the successful completion of real estate transactions through pre-funding review, escrow disbursement, wire processing, and electronic recording activities. Responsibilities include reviewing files for funding readiness, coordinating the disbursement of escrow funds, preparing and processing wire transfers, and managing document recording functions, including e-recording setup, submission, tracking, and resolution of recording rejections. Duties are performed in accordance with established company procedures, lender instructions, underwriter requirements, applicable law, and supervisory direction. The role works collaboratively with internal teams, lenders, title personnel, and recording offices to facilitate accurate and timely transaction processing.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Disbursement Responsibilities
- Review disbursement packages and transaction documents for errors, omissions, and funding deficiencies.
- Perform pre-funding file review, including verification of settlement statements, payoffs, title requirements, lender instructions, funding conditions, and disbursement details.
- Coordinate the disbursement of escrow funds in accordance with settlement statements, lender instructions, and company policies.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure scheduled fundings are completed accurately and on time.
Funding Responsibilities
- Coordinate, prepare, and process real estate transaction fundings in accordance with company, lender, and underwriter requirements.
- Initiate, review, prepare, and process wire transfers in accordance with established procedures, approval limits, and required review protocols.
- Assist the Funding Manager with disbursement review and approval workflows by gathering information, identifying discrepancies, preparing documentation, and routing items for required review or approval.
- Provide coverage support for funding activities by following established procedures, escalating exceptions, and assisting with time-sensitive operational issues as directed.
- Support the outstanding check process, including monitoring, research, follow-up, documentation, and routing exceptions for review.
- Research ledger balances, held escrow funds, and account discrepancies to ensure timely reconciliation and resolution.
Recording Responsibilities
- Review executed packages and transaction documents for recording deficiencies.
- Manage post-closing workflows, including e-recording setup, submission, monitoring, and recording confirmation.
- Track recording status and ensure documents are accurately and timely recorded in accordance with jurisdictional requirements.
- Research recording rejections by identifying deficiencies, coordinating corrective actions with internal and external parties, and resubmitting documents as necessary in accordance with established procedures.
- Maintain accurate recording records and documentation within company systems.
- Communicate with recording offices, lenders, title personnel, attorneys, and other stakeholders to facilitate successful recording and issue resolution.
Additional Essential Duties Required:
- Utilize ResWare, Archer, Outlook, and other company systems to process transactions, maintain records, and advance workflow activities.
- Process inbound emails, phone calls, and requests while accurately documenting and updating information within company systems.
- Communicate professionally and effectively with lenders, attorneys, notaries, borrowers, recording offices, and internal stakeholders.
- Maintain the confidentiality and security of customer, financial, and company information.
- Apply attention to detail and problem-solving skills to identify issues, minimize errors, follow established procedures, and recommend process improvements for review.
- Work independently on routine tasks and collaboratively in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment while escalating non-routine issues and exceptions to the appropriate supervisor or manager.
- Maintain a positive, professional, and customer-focused approach in all interactions with clients, business partners, and colleagues.
Successful candidates will have the following proven skills:
- 5 plus year in Escrow operations and Funding
- Experience in accounting, escrow operations and escrow funds
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situation
Job Type: Full-time/Remote
Salary: $55,000 to $65,000 based on experience
Schedule: Monday -Friday (8-hour shifts) THIS POSITION HOURS REQUIRED ARE 9:00AM TO 6:00PM PACIFIC TIME
