Execution Team Lead, Order Management - TA

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Execution Team Lead, Order Management - TA based in India.

This role offers the opportunity to lead critical procurement operations supporting Travel America activities across multiple business entities and locations.
You will oversee day-to-day order management operations while ensuring accuracy, service quality, compliance, and timely execution.
As a people leader, you will coach and develop a team of procurement professionals, building a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
You will work closely with Procurement, Finance, Accounts Payable, Category Management, Technology, and business stakeholders across an international environment.
The position combines operational leadership, stakeholder management, governance, analytics, and process transformation.
You will use performance data and operational insights to identify opportunities for efficiency, automation, cost reduction, and improved customer experience.
This is a high-impact role for an experienced procurement leader who enjoys solving complex challenges and driving operational excellence at scale.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead and manage day-to-day Travel America procurement operations across multiple business entities and locations, ensuring consistent and high-quality service delivery.
  • Oversee purchase order creation, amendments, change management, closure, invoice exception resolution, supplier and business queries, expediting, and order follow-up activities.
  • Act as the primary escalation point for complex transactional and operational procurement issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimizing disruption to business operations.
  • Monitor transactional pipelines, prioritize workloads, and ensure adherence to service level agreements, operational controls, procurement policies, and expected service standards.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of procurement professionals, supporting performance management, talent development, succession planning, engagement, and cross-skilling.
  • Build a culture of accountability, inclusion, continuous improvement, and high performance while ensuring effective resource planning, shift coverage, and business continuity.
  • Develop strong relationships with business stakeholders, procurement teams, finance teams, category managers, suppliers, and regional teams, acting as a key point of contact for procurement operations.
  • Facilitate governance meetings and business reviews, identify service gaps, and develop action plans to improve stakeholder experience and operational performance.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies, delegated authority requirements, SOX controls, audit standards, and operational governance frameworks.
  • Monitor control effectiveness, data quality, process rigor, and policy compliance while supporting audits, control testing, risk assessments, and remediation activities.
  • Establish and manage operational metrics and dashboards covering purchase order cycle time, accuracy, first-time-right processing, invoice resolution, query turnaround, compliance, productivity, utilization, and customer satisfaction.
  • Analyze operational trends and present regular performance reviews to leadership and stakeholders, using data-driven insights to guide decisions and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Lead initiatives focused on process simplification, standardization, automation, operational excellence, cost reduction, demand optimization, and improved user experience.
  • Partner with Digital, Procurement Excellence, Global Process Owners, Product Owners, and Technology teams to implement system and process enhancements and support future operating model improvements.
  • Collaborate across Business Procurement, Category Management, Accounts Payable, Finance, Digital and Automation, and other cross-functional teams to support procurement strategies and transformation initiatives.
  • Represent the operational perspective in process design and transformation programs, ensuring new solutions are practical, scalable, and aligned with business needs.
Requirements
  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in Management, Business, Engineering, Finance, Accounting, or a related field, with a CPSM, CIPS, CPM, SPSM, or equivalent certification considered an advantage.
  • Bring 13+ years of overall professional experience, including approximately 7–8 years of relevant procurement experience and demonstrated expertise in procurement operations.
  • Have proven experience leading teams, managing significant business initiatives or projects, driving critical thinking, and delivering process optimization in complex environments.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of procurement and general accounting practices, including detailed knowledge of accounts payable processes.
  • Possess hands-on experience with procurement applications and tools such as Coupa, SRM/SAP, Ariba, and Salesforce.
  • Have experience working across cultures and in international environments, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders across regions and functions.
  • Demonstrate strong relationship management, stakeholder engagement, communication, and influencing skills, with the ability to build trusted partnerships across business and procurement teams.
  • Bring strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to interpret operational data, identify root causes, and turn insights into practical improvements.
  • Have advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to build meaningful reporting, presentations, and performance analyses.
  • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Be comfortable working in a fast-paced operational environment that requires resilience, sound decision-making, flexibility, and strong prioritization.
  • Bring a continuous improvement mindset, curiosity, creativity, and the ability to challenge existing processes constructively.
  • Demonstrate strong people management capabilities and the ability to motivate, coach, develop, and engage a diverse team.
