Human Resources Manager
Join Our Team as a Human Resources Manager
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Human Resources Manager to lead and oversee all aspects of our Human Resources function. This key leadership position reports directly to the President and Vice President and serves as a trusted business partner, helping to align people strategies with organizational goals. The ideal candidate will bring both strategic vision and hands-on HR expertise to support workforce growth, employee engagement, compliance, and organizational success.
Position Summary
The Human Resources Manager is responsible for providing the full spectrum of Human Resources leadership and support, ranging from daily HR operations to executive-level workforce planning and organizational development. This role partners with leadership to develop and implement human capital strategies that attract, retain, develop, and engage top talent while ensuring legal compliance and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Organizational Development
- Partner with executive leadership to develop and execute the organization's human capital strategy.
- Integrate workforce planning, succession planning, organizational development, and culture initiatives into overall business planning.
- Serve as a member of the management team, providing guidance on people-related decisions and organizational effectiveness.
Talent Acquisition & Retention
- Develop, implement, and manage recruitment, selection, onboarding, and retention strategies.
- Ensure timely filling of positions with highly qualified and diverse candidates.
- Support initiatives that enhance employee retention and workforce engagement.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Interpret and administer HR policies, procedures, and governance standards.
- Manage HR-related risk, workers' compensation programs, safety initiatives, and litigation avoidance efforts.
Performance, Compensation & Benefits
- Lead the performance management process and support a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Administer compensation and benefits programs that are competitive, equitable, compliant, and aligned with organizational goals.
- Monitor market trends and recommend improvements to compensation and benefits offerings.
Employee Relations & Culture
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and productive workplace culture.
- Address employee concerns and workplace issues promptly and professionally.
- Promote employee engagement, communication, and organizational values.
Training, Development & Succession Planning
- Oversee employee training and professional development initiatives.
- Develop talent management and succession planning strategies that strengthen internal capabilities and leadership pipelines.
- Ensure employees are prepared for current and future opportunities within the organization.
HR Operations & Reporting
- Oversee HR administration, HRIS management, recordkeeping, payroll interface, and HR reporting.
- Maintain accurate employee records and provide meaningful HR metrics and analytics to support decision-making.
Department Leadership
- Recruit, develop, mentor, and supervise HR department staff.
- Maintain current knowledge of HR trends, employment law updates, technologies, and best practices.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of three (3) years of progressive Human Resources leadership experience.
- Thorough knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with HRIS and talent management systems, or the ability to quickly learn new technologies.
- Ability and willingness to travel to meeting sites, remote offices, and career fairs.
Preferred
- PHR or SHRM-CP
