We are seeking an Accounting Associate to support the Finance Team with key activities, including bookkeeping, budgeting, adhering to financial controls, and ensuring tax compliance for multiple entities across APAC, EMEA, and LATAM. You will report directly to the Finance Manager based in Gurgaon and gain hands-on experience in financial operations within a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Financial Close & Reporting
- Support month-end closing activities, including data entries in accounting software related to accruals, prepayments, and bank entries, etc.
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial records.
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations, ensure timely closure of open/reconciling items, and maintain robust documentation.
- Prepare flux analysis for both Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss accounts, investigate material movements, and provide explanations to management.
- Perform Payroll reconciliations, ensuring accurate accounting and resolution of differences.
- Prepare the audit schedules, respond to auditor queries, and ensure timely closure of audit points for both Statutory and Tax audits.
- Comply with the internal controls framework while identifying opportunities to improve financial processes.
- Coordinate with internal team and external consultants, ensuring timely and accurate compliance across multiple legal entities.
- Supporting the transition of financial functions from a third-party provider to Accertify in-house, including documentation of accounting steps and processes.
- Handle ad-hoc accounting and reporting activities as they arise.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field with 3 to 4 years of experience.
- Knowledge of US GAAP, India GAAP, and financial regulations & Tax systems.
- Proficiency in financial software, Excel, PPT, and hands-on experience in ERP systems like NetSuite.
- Good analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and interpersonal & problem-solving skills.
- Position is an individual contributor.

- This position is a full-time, on-site position based in the Accertify Gurugram office. Employees are expected to work from the office during scheduled business hours and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams.
