Class A Rolloff Driver- Metal Recycling in Hugo, Minnesota at Dem-Con Companies

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Dem-Con Metals truck driver position is responsible for driving Roll Off trucks, tractor-trailers, lugger truck and or dock truck for collection services to ensure our customers’ expectations are met in transporting or disposing various metals to the appropriate location.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Operates heavy duty commercial trucks and tractor-trailers

2. Performs required pre-trip & post trip inspections and provides required reports

3. Provides outstanding customer service during delivery and pickup operations

4. Maintains all required certifications required by DOT

5. Adheres to all OSHA and company safety programs

6. Maintains and protects all property

7. Informs on-duty mechanic of any maintenance issues with equipment and/or vehicles

8. Maintains various records and/or logs as needed per DOT regulations

9. Fuels truck at the end of each workday

10. Aids in keeping Customer location and/or facility clean by picking up litter around site

11. Communicate effectively with management, dispatch and all division employees

12. Performs other related duties as assigned

WORK CONDITIONS Outdoor environment; exposure to extreme weather conditions; work with and around heavy trucks and machinery; exposure to dust and fumes from motorized equipment; exposure to noise, odors and gases; exposure to heavy traffic conditions, possible exposure to toxic chemicals.
