Fleet Service Technician in Medley, Florida at Eco Enterprises LLC

Eco Window Systems is seeking a Fleet Service Technician responsible for the inspection, preventive maintenance, and general repair of the Company's fleet of 24-foot box trucks and 53-foot flatbed trucks. The ideal candidate will help ensure all company vehicles remain safe, reliable, and in good operating condition while minimizing downtime.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance on company trucks, including Oil and filter changes, Fluid level checks and top-offs, Lubrication of moving components, Tire pressure inspections and basic tire maintenance
• Fuel company trucks as needed.
• Inspect trucks daily for safety and mechanical issues.
• Replace burned-out lights, bulbs, fuses, and other minor electrical components.
• Replace windshield wipers and perform other basic maintenance.
• Inspect and replace air filters when needed; check batteries, belts, hoses, and cooling systems.
• Perform brake inspections and notify management of any repairs needed.
• Coordinate with outside vendors for repairs beyond the scope of in-house maintenance.
• Report major mechanical issues to management immediately.
• Ensure all trucks comply with DOT safety requirements and company standards.
• Assist with other maintenance duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Bilingual English and Spanish Prefeed
• Minimum 4 years of experience maintaining commercial trucks or heavy-duty vehicles preferred.
• Knowledge of diesel and gasoline engines.
• Experience performing preventive maintenance on commercial vehicles.
• Ability to identify mechanical problems and recommend repairs.
• Basic knowledge of hydraulic systems is a plus.
• Valid Florida Driver's License required.

Physical Requirements

• Frequently lift to 30 pounds.
• Stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and crawl for extended periods.
• Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to climb ladders and enter/exit commercial trucks safely.
• Manufacturing and warehouse environment.
• Exposure to moving equipment, machinery, grease, oil, fuel, noise, and outdoor weather conditions.
• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required.
