Local Delivery Driver / Warehouse Associate in Puyallup, Washington at Abatix Corp

Abatix is looking for a service-minded Local Delivery Driver to join our team! The ideal candidate brings a professional, positive attitude.

As an Abatix Delivery Driver / Warehouse Associate, you'll be the face of our company on the road, making local deliveries to our customers across the Seattle metropolitan area. You'll provide friendly, reliable service while ensuring every delivery arrives safely and on time. We're seeking someone who thrives on being out on the road, enjoys meeting customers, and values teamwork. You'll also work in the warehouse (shipping/receiving) when not on the road.

Pay rate: $23 - $25/hr DOE, Day Shift, Monday - Friday

Job Description:

• Make deliveries throughout the Seatte area
• Obey traffic laws and follow established traffic and transportation procedures
• Inspect and maintain vehicle equipment and supplies, such as gas, oil, water, tires, lights, and brakes to ensure vehicles are in proper working condition
• Report any mechanical problem encountered with a vehicle
• Load and unload vehicle
• Verify the contents of orders against shipping papers
• Assist in warehouse facilities
• Count stock items and record data into computer system
• Assist customers with loading merchandise

Job Requirements:

• A customer service mindset! You must be willing to work with customers and go above and beyond to meet their needs
• 2 years of driving experience
• Ability to use FedEx and UPS online systems
• A strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism
• Willingness to be a team player and take on multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
• Dependability, motivation, punctuality and organizational skills
• Ability to complete certifications for forklifts
• Ability to lift 60 lbs and kneel, bend and twist as the warehouse may require
• Experience with a stand-up forklift is a plus!
