This executive leadership opportunity offers the chance to shape medical affairs strategy across the Americas while contributing to the advancement of innovative precision medicine solutions in oncology and rare diseases. The role combines strategic leadership, scientific engagement, and operational oversight across commercial and late-stage clinical assets. You will lead cross-functional collaborations with global and regional stakeholders, drive evidence generation initiatives, and strengthen relationships with key opinion leaders, healthcare professionals, and research institutions. This position provides significant visibility and influence, supporting product launches, lifecycle management, and clinical development activities. - Define and execute the Medical Affairs strategy across the Americas region (United States, Canada, and Latin America), ensuring alignment with commercial objectives, clinical development priorities, and organizational goals.
- Lead and mentor a high-performing team of Medical Directors, Medical Science Liaisons, and clinical specialists while fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous learning.
- Develop and implement scientific engagement strategies with key opinion leaders, healthcare providers, professional societies, and centers of excellence.
- Drive publication planning, congress strategies, medical education initiatives, and dissemination of scientific evidence to support product adoption and clinical practice advancement.
- Identify data gaps and oversee evidence generation activities, including investigator-initiated trials, real-world evidence initiatives, and collaborative research opportunities.
- Lead clinical trial recruitment and retention strategies, partnering closely with clinical operations teams to support timely execution of Phase I-IV studies, expanded access programs, and lifecycle management initiatives.
- Provide strategic medical input into product launches, marketing initiatives, market access strategies, medical communications, and commercial training activities.
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, internal policies, and ethical standards while maintaining operational excellence across all Medical Affairs activities.
- Monitor evolving scientific literature, treatment guidelines, and competitive developments to inform strategic decision-making and enhance organizational expertise.
- Advanced scientific or medical degree required, such as MD, PharmD, or PhD.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience within biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or related healthcare industries.
- At least 5 years of leadership experience managing medical affairs teams and cross-functional initiatives.
- Strong expertise in oncology, with significant knowledge of radiopharmaceuticals and experience in prostate, renal, and neuro-oncology strongly preferred.
- Proven track record in medical strategy development, product launches, lifecycle management, evidence generation, and key opinion leader engagement.
- Comprehensive understanding of clinical development processes, pivotal trial design, expanded access programs, registries, and publication planning.
- Deep knowledge of pharmaceutical regulations, compliance frameworks, and medical governance standards.
- Demonstrated ability to lead within complex global matrix organizations and influence senior stakeholders across multiple functions.
- Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong business acumen, strategic thinking, and the ability to balance scientific rigor with commercial objectives.
- Highly organized, adaptable, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively, with approximately 50%–75% regional travel and occasional international travel requirements.
