The Scheduling Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of business office activities. This may include registration and check out, scheduling, ability to perform clinical duties in the scope of their practice, as well as staff training and supervision of the above functions. The Scheduling Coordinator should also be prepared to work on special assignments as requested by the Practice Manager and will keep the Practice Manager up to date on daily occurrences in the office.
Responsibilities:
- Schedules patients appropriately and according to resource availability.
- Obtains necessary pre-certification/authorization for tests, surgical procedures and other applicable items.
- Obtains necessary information and makes it readily available for physician. This information includes office, OR and PAT records; labs, blood work and imaging and new patient letters.
- Performs duties as a Clerical Coordinator when needed
Requirements:
Associates degree and/or certification as a Medical Assistant or as a Nurse’s Aide.
Demonstrates the knowledge and skill necessary to provide care, based on physical, psychosocial, educational and safety-related criteria.
Minimum of three (3) years' experience in an office setting.
Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with a variety of people, including hospital administration, staff and physicians.
Customer service oriented attitude and behavior.

Salary Range: $17.46-$25.32 /hour Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
