About Rippling

Rippling gives businesses one place to run HR, IT, and Finance. It brings together all of the workforce systems that are normally scattered across a company, like payroll, expenses, benefits, and computers. For the first time ever, you can manage and automate every part of the employee lifecycle in a single system.

Take onboarding, for example. With Rippling, you can hire a new employee anywhere in the world and set up their payroll, corporate card, computer, benefits, and even third-party apps like Slack and Microsoft 365—all within 90 seconds.

Based in San Francisco, CA, Rippling has raised $1.4B+ from the world’s top investors—including Kleiner Perkins, Founders Fund, Sequoia, Greenoaks, and Bedrock—and was named one of America's best startup employers by Forbes.

We prioritize candidate safety. Please be aware that all official communication will only be sent from @Rippling.com addresses.

About the role

The Benefits Operations Integrations team sits at the heart of Rippling's Benefits platform, managing hundreds of integrations every month to ensure seamless, automated enrollment and eligibility data flows between Rippling and our clients' carriers.

We're looking for an Operations Supervisor to lead our India-based Integrations Specialist team, someone who combines strong people management with hands-on operational problem-solving and a drive for continuous improvement.

You'll own the end-to-end performance of a team responsible for EDI/API configurations, carrier-level debugging, and post-production support across a growing client base. This role sits at the intersection of technology, operations, and customer experience, with significant cross-functional engagement across insurance carriers, customers, Product, and Engineering.

What you will do
  • Lead and develop a team of Benefits Operations Analysts, providing day-to-day guidance, coaching, and performance management to ensure smooth execution of Health Integration implementations.
  • Own metrics-based delivery for new EDI/API setups (834, JSON, and carrier-proprietary formats) and post-production support including requirements gathering, file mapping, testing, error handling, and discrepancy resolution.
  • Track team SLAs, response times, and quality benchmarks; proactively identify and close gaps.
  • Serve as the senior point of contact for complex escalations, communicating directly with customers and carriers throughout issue resolution.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and other internal teams to design new processes, improve existing workflows, and create SOPs that support team scale.
  • Build data reports, analyze trends, and present actionable recommendations to stakeholders with a focus on process optimization, workload distribution, and automation opportunities.
  • Proactively identify operational risks and apply structured problem-solving to prevent integration delays and improve customer experience
What you will need
  • 5+ years in a customer-facing operations role, ideally within EDI/API integrations or product support — with at least 2 years managing a team.
  • Hands-on experience with API/EDI file transmissions and enrollment/member eligibility management.
  • A proven track record of mentoring and developing team members, with genuine investment in coaching and performance growth.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a deep commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences.
  • Solid project management instincts: sharp attention to detail, reliable execution, and strong time management across competing priorities.
  • A continuous-improvement mindset with good research and process design capabilities.
  • Nice to have: Experience in insurance or healthcare EDI/API integrations.
  • Nice to have: Familiarity with quality audit processes.
