Now Hiring: Quality Inspector – Aerospace Manufacturing
Are you an experienced Quality Inspector looking to advance your career in a high-precision aerospace machine shop? We are seeking mid- to advanced-level Inspectors with strong experience inspecting machined metal aerospace or military parts, proficiency in GD&T, hands-on surface plate inspection experience, and familiarity with AS9100, AS9102, and ANSI Y14.5 standards.
This is a hands-on inspection role—not a quality administrator position—and does not involve final-release, audit packages, or administrative QA paperwork
Key Responsibilities- Perform in-process and first-article (AS9102) inspections of precision-machined aerospace components.
- Perform dimensional inspections using surface plates and precision inspection equipment.
- Use precision tools such as micrometers, calipers, thread gauges, height gauges, CMMs, profilometers, and optical comparators.
- Interpret complex blueprints and technical drawings using advanced GD&T (ANSI Y14.5).
- Record inspection results in MRP systems.
- Support NCR investigations and basic root-cause discussions (no ownership of CAPA or audit documentation).
- Mentor junior inspectors and support team development.
- Assist with traceability checks and adherence to FOD, PPE, and cleanroom protocols.
- Ensure compliance with AS9100, ITAR, and internal quality procedures.
Skills/Abilities
- Minimum 3 years inspecting machined aerospace or military parts (metal only).
- Hands-on experience performing dimensional inspections on a surface plate.
- Strong proficiency in GD&T, dimensional inspection, and visual inspection.
- Knowledge of AS9100, AS9102, and ANSI Y14.5.
- CMM programming experience (PC-DMIS) strongly preferred; ability to create or modify CMM routines is a plus.
- Experience with 1factory, FileMaker, or similar QMS/MRP systems.
- Strong shop math, problem-solving, and English communication skills.
- Dependable, quality-focused, and able to work independently or in a team.
- Must pass annual visual acuity and color-perception tests (NDT standards).
- U.S. person required for ITAR compliance.

- Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
Compensation (Hourly)
- Level I: $21.00-$27.50
- Level II: $27.50-$34.00
- Level III: $34.00-$41.00

Physical Demands

ITAR Requirement
This position requires the use of information subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). The candidate must be a U.S. person within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines U.S. persons as U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents (i.e., Green Card holders), and some refugees.
