Job Description

Principal Strategic GTM Program Manager

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Principal Strategic GTM Program Manager based in the United States.

This senior role leads high-impact, cross-functional go-to-market programs that are central to strategic business priorities.
You will shape program strategy, define success measures, and establish the governance needed to deliver complex initiatives at scale.
Working across product, engineering, operations, marketing, finance, and other teams, you will connect roadmaps, resources, and dependencies.
The position requires significant autonomy and strong judgment, particularly when navigating ambiguity and rapidly changing priorities.
You will influence senior leaders, facilitate critical decisions, and proactively resolve risks and organizational constraints.
The role also provides an opportunity to improve program management practices and introduce technology and data-driven approaches to execution.
As a principal-level leader, you will help elevate execution standards across the broader organization while delivering measurable business impact.

Accountabilities:
  • Define and drive the strategy, scope, objectives, and success measures for complex, multi-workstream programs spanning products, operations, and technology.
  • Establish effective program governance, including operating cadences, decision-making forums, risk and issue management, escalation processes, and change control.
  • Orchestrate end-to-end program delivery by integrating roadmaps, dependencies, milestones, and resource plans across product, engineering, operations, marketing, finance, and other partner teams.
  • Navigate ambiguity and proactively identify, assess, and resolve cross-functional risks, constraints, and escalations.
  • Use structured analysis and scenario planning to develop options and recommendations that enable senior leaders to make timely, data-informed decisions.
  • Build clear and transparent program communications, including executive-level updates, status reports, dashboards, and visualizations highlighting progress, risks, and business impact.
  • Partner with senior stakeholders and diverse functional teams to align priorities, resolve conflicts, and maintain momentum across complex initiatives.
  • Evaluate program performance using quantitative and qualitative insights, identifying opportunities to optimize outcomes and inform future strategy, investment, and prioritization decisions.
  • Standardize and improve program management practices, tools, templates, and operating models to increase execution quality, transparency, efficiency, and scalability.
  • Coach and support other program and project managers, helping strengthen program management capabilities and best practices across the organization.
  • Take ownership of complex initiatives from strategic definition through execution and benefits realization, independently establishing structure and direction where needed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Operations, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
  • 10+ years of experience leading large-scale, cross-functional projects or programs within technology, product, operations, or similarly complex environments.
  • Demonstrated progression in program scope, complexity, and autonomy, including the ability to independently establish a path forward in ambiguous situations.
  • Proven experience managing end-to-end delivery of multi-stakeholder initiatives, such as platform transformations, data programs, enterprise process transformations, or similarly complex strategic initiatives.
  • Strong expertise in roadmap integration, dependency management, resource coordination, governance, risk management, and benefits realization.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate with senior executives and leaders across diverse functional teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to assess complex situations, identify trade-offs, and make actionable recommendations.
  • Experience designing, implementing, or improving program management frameworks, governance models, portfolio reporting, standardized tools, or operating processes.
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills, including the ability to independently access, interpret, and use data to validate recommendations and guide decisions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex information into clear, executive-ready messages.
  • Highly organized and comfortable managing multiple priorities, dependencies, and stakeholders in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate with broad autonomy, exercise sound judgment, and create structure without waiting for direction.
Benefits
  • Competitive annual base salary ranging from $131,700 to $210,300 in California, Connecticut, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Washington State, and Washington, D.C.
  • Competitive annual base salary ranging from $125,100 to $199,900 in Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Minnesota, Nevada, Ohio, Rhode Island, Vermont, and Virginia.
  • Eligibility for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance, and location.
  • Fully remote work model, allowing eligible U.S. employees to work from a location of their choice, subject to applicable geographic requirements.
  • Comprehensive employee-focused benefits and programs designed to support health, financial security, flexibility, and professional growth.
  • Opportunity to work on high-visibility, enterprise-level strategic initiatives with broad organizational impact.
  • Exposure to senior leadership and cross-functional teams spanning technology, product, operations, marketing, finance, and other business functions.
  • Opportunity to influence how large-scale programs are governed, executed, measured, and continuously improved.
  • Inclusive and collaborative work environment focused on innovation, professional development, and meaningful business outcomes.
