Job Description

Senior Power Platform Developer

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Power Platform Developer based in United States.

This role provides senior technical leadership for enterprise Power Platform solutions supporting complex federal missions.
You will architect and develop applications, workflows, reporting solutions, and integrations across secure Microsoft environments.
The position combines hands-on engineering with solution architecture, data modeling, automation, and stakeholder engagement.
You will work closely with federal agency stakeholders and business owners to translate operational needs into scalable technical solutions.
The role focuses on delivering secure, governed, and reliable capabilities within GCC High and IL5 environments.
You will contribute to critical infrastructure resilience, energy and sustainability initiatives, data management, and mission support.
This is a fully remote U.S. opportunity requiring U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.

Accountabilities:
  • Architect and lead end-to-end development of Power Apps, including Canvas and Model-Driven applications, Power Automate workflows, and Power BI semantic models and reports within GCC High and IL5 environments.
  • Design Dataverse data models, security roles, business logic, and relationship structures aligned with federal data governance and role-based access control requirements.
  • Build, maintain, and optimize complex Power Automate cloud and desktop flows, including multi-stage approval processes, robotic process automation, API integrations, and robust error-handling frameworks.
  • Develop and optimize Power BI semantic models using star-schema design, DAX measures, and Row-Level Security to deliver accurate and appropriately secured reporting to federal stakeholders.
  • Own integration architecture between the Power Platform and external systems through custom connectors, REST/OData APIs, and Azure services such as Logic Apps, Functions, Key Vault, and Service Bus.
  • Engage directly with federal agency stakeholders and business owners to gather requirements, clarify priorities, manage expectations, and communicate technical solutions effectively.
  • Produce and maintain solution architecture documentation, data flow diagrams, and other technical artifacts required to support secure and maintainable solutions.
  • Apply appropriate security, governance, development, and integration practices throughout the solution lifecycle.
  • Provide technical leadership across application development, automation, data, reporting, and integration initiatives.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 4+ years of hands-on Power Platform development experience in IL5, GovCloud, or similarly regulated environments.
  • At least 1 year of experience developing solutions in a U.S. federal, Department of Defense, or GCC High/IL5 environment, with demonstrated knowledge of FedRAMP High compliance requirements.
  • Hands-on experience with Dataverse data modeling, relationship design, business rules, and role-based access control security roles.
  • Strong experience across Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI, with the ability to design integrated solutions rather than isolated applications.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, along with the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
  • An active Secret clearance or higher is preferred and may receive preference during consideration.
  • Experience supporting DoD, DHS, DOE, or other federal agencies, particularly in energy, infrastructure, resilience, or national security missions, is preferred.
  • Familiarity with CMMC Level 2/3, NIST 800-171, ITAR-controlled environments, or comparable regulated security frameworks is advantageous.
  • Experience developing custom connectors and integrating systems through REST/OData APIs is preferred.
  • Experience with enterprise workflow platforms such as ServiceNow, Dynamics 365, CRM, HR, or ITSM solutions in regulated environments is a plus.
  • Experience with Power Pages for external-facing federal web solutions is desirable.
  • Microsoft Power Platform certifications, including App Maker Associate, Functional Consultant Associate, or Developer Associate, are preferred.
  • CompTIA Security+, Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900), Azure Administrator, or equivalent security/cloud certifications are advantageous.
  • Strong analytical, communication, documentation, collaboration, and problem-solving skills are essential.
Benefits
  • $120,000–$145,000 starting salary range, with actual compensation determined according to applicable factors and organizational guidelines.
  • Fully remote position within the United States.
  • Medical and prescription insurance.
  • Dental and vision insurance.
  • Life and AD&D insurance.
  • Short-term and long-term disability coverage.
  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP).
  • Voluntary critical illness and accident insurance.
  • Tuition reimbursement assistance.
  • Paid leave and paid holidays.
  • Bereavement leave.
  • Retirement plan.
  • Opportunities to work with modern Power Platform, Azure, automation, data, and secure cloud technologies.
  • Exposure to complex federal missions involving energy, infrastructure resilience, sustainability, data management, and national security.
  • Collaborative environment with opportunities for professional growth, technical leadership, education, and recognition for quality work.
  • Opportunity to contribute to high-impact solutions while maintaining a strong focus on work-life balance.
