Job Description
The Food & Beverage Supervisor is responsible for the daily operation of the hotel’s complimentary breakfast and Treats shop. This is a hands-on position responsible for preparing and maintaining breakfast service, keeping food and beverage areas clean and organized, managing Treats inventory and merchandising, placing orders, receiving product, and providing friendly guest service.
This position is expected to be actively working in the operation throughout the shift.
Essential responsibilities- Open and prepare the breakfast area for daily service.
- Prepare and cook breakfast items according to established procedures.
- Maintain proper food levels throughout breakfast service.
- Keep the buffet clean, organized, attractive, and fully stocked.
- Monitor food quality, freshness, presentation, and temperature.
- Follow food safety, sanitation, labeling, storage, and product rotation procedures.
- Clean and sanitize food preparation areas, equipment, counters, serving areas, and storage spaces.
- Wash dishes, utensils, pans, and food-service equipment as needed.
- Break down and clean the breakfast area at the end of service.
- Prepare the breakfast area and supplies for the following day.
- Greet guests, answer questions, assist with requests, and maintain a welcoming breakfast experience.
- Monitor breakfast inventory and maintain appropriate par levels.
- Place or prepare food, beverage, and supply orders.
- Receive deliveries, verify product, rotate stock, and properly store items.
- Monitor food usage, waste, shortages, and expiration dates.
- Stock, face, organize, clean, and merchandise the Treats shop.
- Ensure Treats products are properly priced and displayed.
- Maintain appropriate inventory levels for snacks, beverages, frozen items, refrigerated items, sundries, and other retail products.
- Conduct regular Treats inventory counts and identify low-stock, out-of-stock, expired, damaged, or slow-moving merchandise.
- Place Treats orders and maintain organized back stock.
- Keep Treats coolers, freezers, shelving, and storage areas clean and orderly.
- Monitor pricing and correct or report discrepancies.
- Maintain required breakfast and retail logs, checklists, temperature records, inventory records, and other documentation.
- Identify maintenance or equipment concerns and report them promptly.
- Maintain Breakfast and Treats in a clean, organized, and inspection-ready condition.
- Assist with other hotel operational duties as needed.
- Previous food service, hospitality, retail, or hotel experience preferred.
- Strong organization and time-management skills.
- Strong attention to cleanliness and detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage daily responsibilities without constant supervision.
- Friendly and professional guest-service skills.
- Basic inventory and ordering skills.
- Dependable and punctual.
- Food safety certification as required by hotel policy or local regulations.
- Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays.

Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods, bend, reach, push, pull, stock shelves, operate food-service equipment, and lift or move food, beverages, cases, and supplies as required for the position.
