Blender Operator in Stockton, California at Peterson Farms Inc

This position is primarily responsible for the development of Lakewood products.

Primary duties and responsibilities include:

• Operation and control of the pre-production room (blending area and elaboration tanks).
• Operate equipment (mixers, scales, gauges, pumps, forklifts, etc.) safely.
• Know how to recognize any material that does not meet quality control standards and advise Quality Control or Management of the same.
• Keep both the mixing area and the utensils used clean and disinfected.
• Collaborate with product recovery and reprocessing when needed.
• Work under the standards fixed by the company (GFSI, ISO, GMP's, etc.)
• Must be able to wear required personal protection equipment for the department.
• Any other tasks assigned by the Plant Manager.

Oversight responsibilities:

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Requirements:

• Any other tasks assigned by the Plant Manager.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or, equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule within the operating hours of the plant.
• Experience within the food and beverage industry (preferred).
• Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Must be able to stand, walk, kneel and bend required for virtually the entire shift. Occasionally required to climb or balance. Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 75 pounds.
• Must be able to work in a wet environment. Occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals. Exposure to nut allergens.
• Be able to effectively work in a team environment.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to pass all medical exams, drug check.
• Effectively handle lifting of various objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
• High school diploma
• Previous knowledge or experiences that mix
