Job Description
SUMMARY:
Responsible for making point of sale transactions and selling merchandise and for the successful upkeep of the operations, including successful executions of essential duties and responsibilities ensuring guest service and satisfaction in accordance with the Company’s high standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following:
- Responsibilities of an Associate are to provide friendly service while having knowledge of the cash register, cash handling skills, organization of register till and completion of the daily financial paperwork.
- Self-Starter, Self-Motivated
- Compute and record totals of transactions
- Count drawer at beginning and end of shift to assure accurate bank total.
- Maintain a clean and sanitized workspace.
- Maintain a clean and stocked sales floor during shift.
- Monitor register till to ensure they have adequate monies available to provide change.
- Receive payment by Cash, Credit, Debit, Gift Certificate, or Voucher.
- Resolve Customer matters and complaints.
- Compile and maintain non-monetary reports and records.
- Comprehensive and complete knowledge of Tribal, State, and Federal Laws and Statutes pertaining to the responsible and safe service of alcohol and tobacco.
- Ability to provide information about the Santa Claran Casino and fellow entities.
- Responsible for maintaining a consistent, regular attendance record.
- Complete all other duties assigned by the Retail Operations Manager and Retail Leads.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
- High School diploma or GED preferred but is not required.
- Must be 21 years or older.
- Alcohol Server License/Food Handlers certification required.
INSIDE MAINTENANCE:
Maintaining a clean and organized facility. Duties of an associate include but are not limited to:
Keeping shelves clean and sanitized
Keeping windows/window seals clean
Sweeping and mopping store
Throwing trash
Cleaning coolers shelves and doors
Keeping bathrooms clean
Keeping water heater room clean
Sweeping and mopping beverage cooler
OUTSIDE MAINTENANCE:
Duties of an Associate include but are not limited to:
Maintaining clean and presentable grounds and pumps.
Keeping the sidewalks and front landscape clean.
Washing sidewalk and outside porch.
Keeping outdoor water/towels filled.
Cleaning gas pumps.
Pulling weeds.
Sweeping parking lot and throwing trash.
Keeping Patio area clean.
Clearing and cleaning small gas/oil spills at pumps and parking lot.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS / WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
Tolerate exposures to extreme hot/cold temperatures.
Ability to wear vinyl or latex gloves.
Work environment is frequently loud, fast paced.
Exposure to high traffic areas, fuel, and other flammable substances. Occasionally exposed to biohazard waste.
