About This Position

We are currently hiring for a PRN Preceptor RN New Grad Nurse Resident Program to work night shift within our Patient Care Unit.

Compensation Range:

$5 per hour increase to base rate when working as a Preceptor

Night and weekend shift differentials up to $6 per hour!

The compensation range listed is an estimate. Final compensation will be determined based on your qualifications including years of experience performing similar work, level of formal education in a relevant field of study, and any professional certifications related to the position.

Requirements:

  • Current and unrestricted license and/or certifications as required for primary role
  • At least 2 years of clinical experience in the area where providing preceptorship
  • Proven record of exceptional performance in primary role within the department

Preferred:

  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred.

Position Overview:

Promotes a professional, supportive environment during clinical orientation. Effectively facilitates and manages the orientation of new, inexperienced clinical staff with assistance from the Department Director and Department Educator. Provides orientation to the new staff per established requirements. Documents completion of competencies in a timely manner. Supports the AVH Core Values by striving for excellence in patient care, professional development, interdepartmental relations, time management, and continuous quality improvement.

This Position Offers:

As a PRN employee, you will be eligible to purchase discounted bus passes for transportation to and from work, 457B, and also participate in a number of AVH hosted programs.
