About This Position

*Please note this is a North Vancouver location*

Canadian Tire – North Vancouver is looking for an energetic and committed Full Time Certified Mechanic to join our shop.

The main responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to:

  • Perform inspections, repairs, maintenance, and installations efficiently, safety and accurately according to the dealer's and manufacture's guidelines.
  • Diagnosis and document in detail the cause of concerns and related repair.
  • Work closely and communicate freely with other members of the team. This will include, but is not limited to other technicians and apprentices, parts consultants, service advisors, and sales personnel.
  • Inspect all vehicle for safety and operation and notify advisors immediately if additional repairs are required.
  • Perform road tests as a quality check to verify the work performed.
  • Provide guidance and support to any assigned apprentices.
  • Maintain a clean and professional workspace.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment
  • Strong organizational skills and detail-oriented
  • Working knowledge of computers
  • Adhere to all company and manufactures policies and procedures.

Prerequisite Qualifications:

  • Able to work independently and as a member of the team
  • Red Seal Certification
  • CVSE Provincial Inspector Licence
  • Drivers Licence
  • Able to lift at least 25lbs and be comfortable bending, lifting, kneeling, and using ladders
  • Passion for vehicles and the automotive industry.
