Bestica is seeking Registered Nurse – Maternal Child to support the Joint Base Fort Lewis-McChord located in Tacoma, WA.

• Education: Graduate from a college or university accredited by Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), the Commission on Collegiate Nursing
  Education (CCNE) or as otherwise identified in the TO.
• Work Experience: One Year of Experience in Nursing
• License: Current unrestricted RN license in one of the 50 US States and/or territories.
• Certifications:
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) AHA or ARC issued
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Provider-Advanced (NRP)
  • Sugar, Temperature, Airway, Blood pressure, Lab work, and Emotional support (STABLE)
• US Citizen
• NACI background check

Task and Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive professional nursing care to postpartum mothers and neonates. Experience caring for postoperative patients.
• Obtains patient history, pertinent family history, and advanced medical directive information. Observes, assesses, and records symptoms, reactions, and progress assist physicians during treatments and examinations; administers medication and prescribed treatments, completes admissions and discharges, and promotes convalescence and rehabilitation.
• Manages care of patients for a wide range of procedures of an advanced nature and difficulty where there is a high risk for infection and bodily functions arc mechanically assisted by life support equipment.
• Knowledge of the transitional care of neonates is required.
• HCW’s will be required to float within similar specialties
