Environmental Field Technician at Sovereign Consulting Inc. – Robbinsville, New Jersey

Sovereign Consulting Inc., a rapidly growing environmental consulting and remediation firm headquartered in Robbinsville, NJ, is seeking Environmental Technicians (0-3 years experience) for its Robbinsville, NJ location.

Environmental Technicians handle fieldwork activities, which require outdoor work, in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities:

• Perform groundwater-sampling duties at various Sovereign project locations;
• Complete well development activities;
• Record field notes for each specific task performed;
• Maintain equipment calibration logs;
• Perform general labor and maintenance activities;
• Handle other related duties assigned; and
• Adhere to Sovereign Consulting Inc. Health & Safety Standards in all field-related activities

Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 0-3+ years of related fieldwork experience. Previous experience performing fieldwork in the environmental consulting industry is a plus.
• Comprehensive working knowledge of the NJDEP Field Sampling Procedures Manual as it applies to groundwater sampling techniques including volume average and low-flow sampling methods is preferred.
• OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification required, will train the right candidate.
• Must have a good driving record and be able to drive a company vehicle.

Employment at Sovereign is contingent upon the results of a Drug & Alcohol screening test and a pre-placement medical evaluation that determines candidate’s ability to capably and safely perform the proposed job duties. A background check will also be required. Candidates must present documentation that confirms identity and eligibility for employment in the United States.

Salary will be commensurate with experience, education, and qualifications.
