HomeTown Services is seeking a Senior Site Accountant to join our team!

Position Summary: Responsible for managing and completing full cycle accounting including cash forecast, accounts payable, month-end, flux analysis, and ad hoc reporting as needed for multiple locations throughout the Gulf Coast region. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. The candidate must be able to work independently and critically evaluate all aspects of the accounting function.

Job Responsibilities:

• Financial Close Processes - Oversee and execute the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes for assigned locations, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and accounting standards.
• Reconciliation and Analysis - Perform balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies across various accounts.
• Coordination and Communication - Serve as the main point of contact for accounting queries from location-specific teams.
• Compliance and Standards - Ensure adherence to GAAP or other applicable accounting standards as required by the organization.
• Systems and Process Improvement - Utilize enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems or accounting software to streamline the financial close process.
• Reporting and Documentation - Provide support as needed for variance analyses and key performance indicators for FP&A, management and other stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• B.S. in Accounting.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA designation preferred.
• 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a centralized environment.
• Experience in the home service industry is preferred but not required.
• Experience working in a multi-location environment is a plus.
• Proficiency in Sage Intacct and Microsoft Excel is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and reconciliations.
