RADIOLOGY TECH MULTI SPECIALITY at Horizon Health – Paris, Illinois

Horizon Health is a Critical Access, Rural Health Facility comprised of 25-inpatient beds located in Paris, IL & a multitude of outpatient clinic settings including Family Practice and Specialty Clinics in Paris and surrounding cities. We have been serving residents of Edgar County since 1968 though community education, emergency services, and outpatient care. Position Summary:

The incumbent is capable of performing a number of tests/exams in the areas of MRI, CT Scan, X-ray, Fluoroscopy, Surgery and/ or use of portable testing equipment.

Essential Functions:

1. Conducts requested testing in the Radiology department per the physician’s orders.
2. Obtains patient’s clinical history before beginning any exam.
3. Demonstrates competency in collimation, positioning and techniques.
4. Evaluates radiographs for technical quality before delivery to the radiologist.
5. Monitors the film badge and follows up on exposure level results monthly.
6. Must be proficient with a number of different machines and procedures used for radiology testing processes.
7. Inspires confidence from patients, visitors and families by performing and communicating in a professional manner at all times.
8. Respects the confidentiality of patient orders and records; uses discretion in discussion of patient health.
9. Demonstrates concern for cleanliness and infection control by practicing universal controls.
10. Must be available for call coverage, rotating shifts and disaster call back.

Position Requirements:

• High School Graduate or equivalent
• Completion of a formal radiologic technology training program in an approved school.
• Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
• State of Illinois licensure through the Department of Nuclear Safety or IEMA (or willing to apply upon hire).
• BLS Certification

Hours: Monday through Friday 2nd shift 2:30 pm - 11 pm

Salary Range: $24.55 per hour - $39.29 per hour (based on experience in applicable field)
